The current story arc started with this strip: A Sly Raccoon.
- Sandra: Wow, my own talking raccoon……
Just one more thing. You won’t attack me all the time like a certain tiger, will you?- Woo: Only on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Sandra: Oh, great.
- Richard: What the hell?
- Sandra: Don’t ask.

Wait, doesn’t this updates ONLY on monday and thursday? o_o
Heh, the second panel is fun.
Though the reference to another strip does have a “cute” element to it, I’m thinking you would do better avoiding the “He did it better” or the “It’s a repeat” trap.
I do admit the tag line about the days was funny since those two days are when the strip is updated.
If daddy ever suspects, he might just think a certain Woo would be better off in a locked cage or something more permanent.
Got to love Calvin and Hobbs refrences.
Love the strip so far 😀
Sweet, an ode to a priceless comic named Calvin and Hobbes ^^
lets hear it for calvin and hobbes ladies and gents
Look out! Rabid raccoon! 😛
Definitely too early for the author to go around trying to compare his work to the great Calvin and Hobbes, though. I was quite annoyed by that, actually. Definitely not a flattering reference.
Speaking of comparing to other things, does anyone else think the girl looks like Penny from Inspector Gadget?
I for one love he Calvin and Hobbes reference. Makes it seem more like it’s in the real world, you know? ‘Course, then there’s the talking raccoon, but hey, that’s par.
I hope there won’t be too many Calvin and Hobbes references. :S
So, that boy and tiger pair is named Calvin and Hobbes in english?
In danish, its Steen & Stoffer.
Lovely comic
I appreciate getting the reference out of the way because that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the ads for this comic.
Oh! What a good surprise! I came here because of an advertising on Dreamland’s site (The Dreamland Chronicles by Scott Christian Sava), a very good story. Then I find another very good one here. I’m loving Sandra and Woo!
Then I see this great reference to Calvin & Hobbes, the best comics made ever!
Thanks! I’m loving Sandra and Woo more each day!
PS: I read some people thinking that the author is trying to compare his work or to avoid “He did it better” or the “It’s a repeat” trap. Let’s take it easy!
The strip is funny even if we don’t know Calvin & Hobbes! And besides, it’s funny becuse of the update days. There are three things, all very funny (Calvin’s reference, update days and Woo attack).
Fantastic!
Lol doesn’t it only update on mondays and thursdays?
There’s another Calvin & Hobbs’ alike:

From the bottom of my childhood, I declare this a WIN. (Complete with pounce expression!)
*snob voice* I have been very disappointed by the fact that for a good chunk of the comics past Issue #29 ‘Surprise Attack’ there has been little to no pouncing in the series! *cough* *hack* *cough* *wheeze*… That dumb voice!! In all seriousness, love the comic and the little to no pouncing is just an observation, now, I shall bid you farewell and take a few breaths from a paper bag. *COUGH*
Fourth Wall Breakage + Calvin & Hobbes homage = EPIC WIN!!!!
Sandra looks cute :S
Okay? Too many Calvin and Hobbes references here, people, I think… This comic is good, but thinking on it, many things (almost all the cool things) are just a fake of Calvin and Hobbes… And well, that’s so dissappointing…
Sandra and Woo, you have just found yourselves a new reader! 🙂
OMG I was just thinking this is kinda like calvin and hobbes lol
i see what you did there 🙂
Sneak attack for double damage!
Calvin and Hobbes reference?
I take it Woo took some lessons from Hobbes.
i’m just gunna guess her saying that was her realizing you posted the comic on a thursday
lol! I love the Calvin and Hobbes reference! You got it right on the dot! Nice one!
“What did you do? Step on a land mine?”
“Let’s just say sometimes I wish I had a garble.”
Stupid auto-correct. I meant gerbil.
I see you have learned from the masters. Jolly good show!
@ Okay:
die in a pit -_-
Wow I just got that. It’s a Calvin and Hobbes reference. I been comparing Sandra and Woo to it for a long time. (Since 11/15/13) lol
Having archive-binged this comic at least once already… I’d like to note that I personally regard Sandra & Woo as better than Calvin & Hobbes.
At some level it may be derivative… but I never much liked C&H, while this tends to strike me as more entertaining…. sorta the same way RahXephon is better than Evangelion.
.
… p.s. I suspect I just annoyed a lot of people (*trollface*)… but I totally meant it.
While the Calvin and Hobbes reference definitely won me over anymore would result in an unhealthy comparison (unless by some miracle Bill Waterson actually did become involved) (probably to much to ask for.)
Calvin and Hobbes reference XD
*Gets attacked* ? ??????????
I am suddenly a strange combination of very happy, extremely nostalgic, and slightly sad…
Man, I miss our boy-and-tiger duo; it’s a good thing that SaW is a worthy successor.
Honestly, there should be more animals that try this. Its actually quite fun.
