The current story arc started with this strip: The Dark Knight.
- Cloud: Haha! Your eyes were as big as saucers! Strange. I thought I heard another voice besides yours… Oho! Did we have a little accident?!
- Sandra: My raccoon peed on me!
- Cloud: Yeah, sure, your “raccoon” did it…
- Cloud: … because it’s so afraid of the dark and… uh, is something wrong?
- Cloud: Where’s Batman when you need him?!

Ah, guess he didn’t notice Woo after all 😀 And oh, is the “Joker” ever in trouble 🙂
I think the worse thing would be the smell
Oh wow, is this a Kill Bill reference? Or from Final Fantasy or something? I’m pretty sure that panel looks familiar…
The panel does loom familiar, but I’m not sure how..
It seems like an epic scene from some anime, but I can’t put my finger on it…
V for Vendetta (the comic not the movie)?
Notice that the tags reference “Kill Bill”…
Enter Beatrix Kiddo :D!
Read the tags again, guys. It says “Alma”, i.e. that creepy kid from F.E.A.R.
Run Cloud! Don’t let her touch you!
I thought that looks familiar. (though i haven’t seen kill bill =p)
…eew XD
“…thought I heard another voice besides yours…”
It’s like…the comic characacters are sub-consciously reading our comments about the actions of the comic, or something.
On a fantasy note, wouldn’t mind seeing Cloud whipping out that ten ton piece of iron and having a sword fight…
O.O;;; Not even Batman can help you now, buddy boy…
Ooooooooops.
Does he not know about Woo at all, then?
And if he’s going to make such…. “innuendos”, then surely he’d understand the stain should be more towards the back for someone in a frock unless a/ its a kilt or b/ he really did cause an uncommonly strong fright only just this side of causing unconciousness/medical shock. 😀
with them in a sitting/half-lying-back position that is.
damn you, nonexistant edit button!
and another “edit” 😐
—- i like the bilingual joke in the title, heheh. Language diversity FTW.
Not sure, maybe a reference to ‘Kill Bill’?
MWAHAHAHA! FEAR ALMA!
Where is Woo? Though if Cloud puts the voice to the raccoon, there will be trouble. (See strip of 11/17/2008)
oooh, explosive reaction. I like that.
and I gotta say, I will not sympathize with him. I don’t make fun of girls.
(but If a girl hits me, I’ll hit back, anyone else, or am I weird?)
Wait… Cloud doesn’t even know she has a raccoon?
…
Oh, and I still want to know what Cloud was doing in her house… that’s sorta creepish…
Double Oh: How the heck did Woo manage to pee on Sandra’s lap when he was sitting on it?
He was sitting on her lap facing forwards and peed (then apparently bolted), how did he manage to pee onto her in such a way that it look remotely like she peed on herself?
That is some strange pee physics…
You are thinking about this way too much Matty. Don’t be sexist.
(sarcasm. mostly.)
obviously cloud is unaware f the fundimental differences between males and females
Cloud’s probably also wishing he had his trusty sword(plastic knife) right about now
Still quite possible for her to have peed the front of her dress even if she’s a girl, but that probably would make more sense had she been lying on her stomach. However since she didn’t,I can see reason for her to be pissed with Cloud for teasing her about it when he frightened her,and I’m sure there will be hell to pay when she gets ahold of Woo.
*wonders how often the word “piss” is going to be said in the comments for this strip
jup whips out the ole combat engine…
“Who is wrong? Who is right? We propose a ‘Clown Fight!'” (Pronounced in a demeaning tone.)
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. The staff has just thrown the switch and the lights are still humming as they struggle to warm up the Street Mortality arena on this cool evening. A small crowd has taken the stands and is pounding on the seats for a show. I’m your host for this evening, Mac ‘Daddy” Sack. Back to the rack, where the combatants shall take the track.”
“In the left corner, the slender and often ‘kender’ lady saint who can’t claim an ‘ain’t, it’s the great…Sandra! Coming into view on the right, he’s tight. He’s full of fight. And, even when he’s mean, he’s right. He’s the one and only…Cloud!”
“Now, folks. This all got started over a little fright night, ’round the TV’s light. One joked. The other stoked. Now, they’ve come here to settle it in our forum. So, let’s get down and push to the ground; rumble for a ‘Street Mortality!!!’ ”
The rack of armament is brought forth. Sandra gets first picks, as it is her grudge match call, taking a fancy to the feel of those light weight armpads for that maneuverability advantage. Plus, it frees up her hand for that sweet, short mace she’s now swinging about with a nasty smirk across her lips.
Cloud observes her choices and makes a dash for the chest plate armor. It is easy to see how he’s projecting where that spikey weapon might be going, already. Oooo…but, look at those eyes sparkle under the high intensity lamps as he reaches for the samurai sword. No, folks. He’s made a most interesting snap decision and gone with the iron knuckles. Looks like he’s planning on some close and personal contact. That’ll make for an interesting fight.”
*clang*
“The trash can has been struck and our match up knows it’s time. They circle each other, with keen senses trained on one another…you won’t want to miss this one, folks…”

I just want to know why she is barefoot…
Well she was watching a movie in her house, and now she’s chasing Cloud with a sword and explosions in the background. I can’t see why she would put her shoes on and give Cloud a head start.
It’s because it’s a reference to the creepy little girl from F.E.A.R
She always walks around wearing a a red dress and no shoes… hence the trail of five-toed bloody footprints.
Awesome, first Cloud made a reference to the Joker in The Dark Knight; now, Sandra makes a reference to Alma in F.E.A.R. By the way, FEAR is better known as “First Encounter Assault Recon.” As a last little note, the game F.E.A.R. didn’t age all that well, graphics wise, so the scare tactics used by the game are not as effective as they were when the game was first released.
Oh yeah, and the explosion in the background is further used to reference the game F.E.A.R. The little girl, Alma, often used explosions and such to kill people and liquefy roughly 90% of the body, leaving a puddle of blood and bones as all that remained of her victims.
True, but the shotgun from that game is still SUPER awesome…
Strange, a similar thing happened to me in elementry school, but instead of a girl being laughed at by an (ignorant) boy, I (an ignorant boy) went to the nurse’s office after I sat on something wet and told it to the nurse in front of a girl who laughed at me because she thought I wet my pants… -.-;
I must say, reading all these comments is quite an amusing way to pass the time ^_^
two questions that have been yet to be asked:
1 – where the heck did she get the sword?
2 – why is there an explosion in panel four? (beside dramatic effect)
@Alex: I’m going with the notion that panel four is so concept laiden that it defies “reality” for the sake of making the statement.
Where a picture can say a thousand words, panel four produces the whole concept over using enough words to match some of my replies. 😛
Is is possible to get a wallpaper size version of panel four ?
That looks awesome.
One thing though, FEAR was a great game. The AI were tough and playing the game like one would play HALO gets you killed. FEAR II felt like another cookie cutter FPS… Disappointing.
Wow! Is it me or does she look a bit like Electra in those red clothes? “Vengeance shall b mine!”
There’s a market for bottled raccoon urine. How they get the little rascals to pee into the tiny bottles is a mystery.
Is this a F.E.A.R reference? sorry if it isn’t i am new to this comic
LOL! I love how so many people don’t get that this is a kill bill and fear reference mixed together! ALMA FTW!
heh, it IS a FEAR reference, what other PC game out there has a creepy girl in a red dress causing mass destruction and insanity?
Looks like I’m not your only reader in my part of the world.

(It’s another F.E.A.R. reference but the artist says he got the idea from here.)
Cue ‘One Winged Angel’
“McGee,don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
LOL!!!!!
The situation just reminded me of the line I quoted…. *snerk*
Great strip!
