my two cents: it could be a Carrie reference, or atleast Carrie thrown into the mix, due to the sword… which she got off from cloud: hes always with a sword, but shes the heroine, and heroines will still disarm secondary tough guys

All I can say is… start praying, Cloud.
Her shoes are off, you can’t see her eyes, and she’s changed costume in the blink of an eye…according to the rules of anime you are up the creek without a paddle, Cloud. There’s no entering lower orbit for you, she’s going straight for the kill.

‘vause Cloud is named after a Final Fantasy (VII) character i’d rather say the last panel is a tribut to this very game, the scene of Sephiroth stepping out of the burning ruins of Nibelheim.
