Sandra and Woo: a webcomic of lots of romance, some sarcasm, little math and no language New comics every Monday and Thursday Sandra and Woo in German/auf Deutsch
Pets find the weirdest things interesting. I’ve bought my cat dozens of toys. A fake mouse on a string, a scratching post, remote-controlled mouse in hamster ball. But his favourite toy is a plastic army soldier.
With cats I’ve found you dont need to buy anything for em to be entertained, a carboard box will do them over for says and they find strings and endless source of joy. So long as there is somebody pulling it
I’d say grapes and…maybe one of those weird science toys. Doesn’t look like a ball of string. More like one of those…things…that is overall round and made up of multiple circles to form a kind of hollowed out ball. No idea what they’re called or their overall purpose…aside from just existing.
As for cat toys…I’ve bought several. One works extremely well for my little predator. The laser pointer. More awesome, a pointer from the 99 cent store. But, he gets frustrated after an hour or so of playing “Coyote & Road Runner”, ala never catching that red dot that moves so fast.
Once in a while some raccoons will show up in our backyard. I know we shouldn’t, but I still drop them treats out the window once in a while. The look of bliss as they eat grapes and turn their heads up (to catch the juice, I assume) is priceless!
How cute are both, specially woo. This comic remember me about Toby and me (my cuty dog) and the other day I give a gerber because of her birthday, she likes it (baby food).
First time commenting. I’m trying to catch up to the current issue of SANDRA AND WOO. Soo far it’s very cool! Especially how Sandra come to finding Woo,how shocked Shocked Sandra was to learn he could speak (surprised me too! ROFL!), Woo hanging with friends things like that.Does Sandra looks like “PENNY” from that 80’s catoon show “INSPECTOR GADGET?” or is it just me?!
EXACTLY! Where is that “computerized book” too? Those simple chew toys don’t work on my dogs! They had ripped the cone out one of my speakers, pushed my ADCOM® amp off the table, and so on! The joy of being owned by pets! Trade 4 shepherds for Woo ,Brain, or that computerized book!
In the second and third panel, Woo is playing with the string from the TOYS bag. You can see the string missing in the third panel.
The actual toys are not revealed (in the first panel, something that looks like a riding whip can be seen sticking out from the bag, but nothing like that is visible afterwards.)
So maybe Sandra bought some toy for herself and gave the string (and grapes, obviously) to Woo.
Sandra must be one those click, cut, copy, and paste girl images! I’ll check out the “Roll” character. Yes! Games forever! No disrespect to the author, this is truly a fantastic comic! A tribute to people and the pets that own them!
The “riding whip” looks like one of those cat-fishing things, with a string and some feathers on the end.
The toy he’s playing with looks like one of those balls made of big rubber O-rings all wrapped around each other and some kind of jingly thing in the middle.
Eh, Penny has a different hairstyle. And a different art style. The main thing they have in common, besides approximate age and gender, is a shirt with one horizontal stripe.
My cat’s favorite toy is one of those plastic bags from the grocery store, all rolled up and tied into a tube.
It crinkles deliciously, and he can throw it around and chase it just like a toy mouse. Even better when there’s a little bit of catnip wrapped up inside.

I’m glad it’s as easy to please a talking animal as it is a non-talking one. Now I can go get that talking dog I’ve been eyeing….. lol

Erm… catnip only works for cats.
It looks like a rubber ball and some grapes. XD

I think she got him the grapes… but he’s more interested in the string from the bag than the grapes –

Nothing like being hand-fed grapes.

That might be a rubber band ball in his paws.
The fox may have given up on the grapes and rationalized them as sour, but the raccoon had a better fortune.

Oh, I hope not. Rubber bands that are under tension and claws…rarely work out in the long run.
Besides, I didn’t think toy shops sold rubber band balls. That’s more of a stationary store oddity.

If Sandra is “Penny”, then we all can agree as to who “Brain” is!

A snack, a toy, and a friend. Asking for more just seems greedy.
