[0070] That Boy Needs Therapy

This strip is a tribute to one of the most awesome music videos ever produced, Frontier Psychatrist by The Avalanches.

  • Richard: ARGH! Sometimes I can’t stand people! First they butter you up, and then they stab you in the back!
  • Sandra: That boy needs therapy. Please lie down on the couch!
  • Richard: What does that mean? I’m not crazy in the coconut! The world out there is criminally insane!
  • Wallace: Gromit, old pal, I need assistance.
  • Richard: Ah, this kind of therapy.

Ah, that’s the best therapy–having a cuddly pet to be your couch buddy. Wonders if they’re watching the episode involving the rocketship.

I like Wallace and gromit. Though I’m still debating whether or not I should buy the Wallace and gromit games made by telltale.

Speaking as a psychologist finding himself further entrenched in a government bureacracy, yeah that sounds about right.

There’s always room for another Avalanches *Frontier Psychiatry* joke.

Wallace and Gromit could make having your legs gnawed off by rabid Furbies alright.

I gotta say, I was going to continue reading your webcomic no matter what, but now that you’ve quoted an Avalanches song, I’m attached for life.

    You win the internet.
I cannot believe you made a comic about Frontier Psychiatrist!

Such a tolerant father not to object to “that boy.”

Glad Woo is on good terms with him as well. We haven’t seen them interact much.

….THANK YOU. You just made my day with that obscure song reference. X3 I sometimes wondered if I was the only one that knew of it. XD

Avalanches? Never heard of them. I’ll check it out later. For now I’ll just point out that I don’t think that that’s coffee he’s drinking. The jar that Sandra’s got on the table says ‘choc’ on it, so I’m assuming it’s Hot Chocolate.

    Heh…cool theropy application.

Do I denote a hint of relaxation to the point of near drunkenness in Woo, there? (Tiny circles near the head.) His “secret” is a good scritching to the rear?

Oh, my gawd, I actually caught the reference without having to be told what it was. xD I have an entire Pandora station based off of that song. *generally speaking, lives under a rock and misses all such references to current culture*
