[0097] Raccoon Hug

The current story arc started with this strip: Bribe Money.

Woo isn’t doing this intentionally. He just can’t escape the mental heritage of his species. Raccoons will be raccoons.

  • Sandra: What’s your problem with Cloud? He’s such a nice and sweet boy.
  • Woo: I know. It’s just that…
  • Woo: … it’s just that I’m afraid you will have no time for me in the future.
  • Sandra: Don’t worry, Woo. I’ll always have enough time for my most beloved procyonid.
  • Woo: Whew…

It looks like he is putting it there and not taking it, but that is just what I see, but of course I know better otherwise.

I would find this more touching if Woo wasn’t pulling one of his Thievius Racconus moves xD.

That’s why they’re provided with burglar asks by nature.

Back before such things became illegal, a pet store in Geenville SC had a raccoon in the window for sale. Furhter back in the store, they had baby alligators. (This was about 1964.)

The store was about halfway along my walkf from school to my mother’s office, and, on my way to the office to ride homw with her, i would stop in and kill some time with the girl who managed the place.

One day i wandered in and there was a big, strong lock added to the raccoon’s cage. I asked aboit it.

Seems our furry friend had quietly let himself out, gotten into the alligators, and killed about six before she noticed. She had just finished putting their scaly little bodies in the refrigerator in the back room.

This got me wondering about something, and i inquired as to what do raccoons eat.

“All sorts of things,” she anwered. “We have a dry food he likes. But, until I run out, he’s eating *alligators*!”

He’s like Sam Starfall from “FreeFall.”

Chris, he wants affection… AND the candy, a real visionary here

It’s always a novel idea to have more than one goal.

You know, I think Woo is really doing what’s best for the candy here. That back pocket seems like a VERY accident-prone place to go stashing a lollipop, so he’s probably saving it from a very inglorious end.

@Blitzkrieg1701: Excellent point. One must always consider the welfare of the candy…
