[0112] The Physical Impossibility Of Falling In The Mind Of Someone Walking

This is the last strip of the current story arc which started with this strip: Child labor.

I know we’re still missing a falling anvil. But five strips like these in a row would have been too much. Maybe sometime in the future… By the way, the storyline was slightly influenced by the famous episode Looney Tunes episode Duck Amuck featuring Daffy Duck.

The second panel of the the last strip Shark Jumped the Woo is now available as wallpaper (in five different sizes) on our site for donators.

Reminds me of the Looney Toons episode where Bugs was the artist for the cartoon Daffy was “starring” in. Amazingly that episode was just on a little while ago.

Ah, thanks for the reminder. I watched that episode when writing the script for one of the strips of this storyline.

@The JAM: If you mean the “slipping with a banana peel”, i haven’t seen that particular episode of mythbusters, but i can tell you that it can happen, i’ve been close myself to take a fall for stepping on slimy old banana peels on the floor… if you mean something else… i have no idea :D

I’ll be honest, i was terribly confused by this arc, good thing it ended (not that it was bad, just so… contrary to the mood the comic had before, i was just lost, but i still enjoyed it)

Well, you CAN slip on a banana peel, it’s the sudden sitting down that’s a bit hard to come after it :D

I’m glad you skipped the anvil. There are certain contexts in which I’m not prepared for the kind of slapstick that would be very harmful in RL. I’d've expected Woo to get a body cast, and then I’d feel sorry for him.

Hmmm… I wonder what woo will do ? Is this the awaited breaking of the fourth wall (again?)

I’m glad it’s over too, think that was abit more random acts of stupid with no direction whatsoever that I could muster. Also I get the points you were making by dong this arc,it was entertaining regardless :3.

Somewhere, Wile E. Coyote is shaking his head and calling Woo a pansy.

Lucky for Woo, he hasn’t far to fall.

LOL, John K & firedome! Wait, does that make Woo a prat?

@Mura: I think JAM was trying to be funny, saying the “Phyiscal Imposibility” of the tile is disprovable; not refering to an actual Mythbusters episode. And, are you the admin of the comments section? The comment linking to http://www.comicstripcontinued.com/?p=712 confuses me.

@Novil: after the initial laugh, my first impression was that you were firing yourself, and that this whole arc was your way of “going out with a bang” as you passed the baton onto a new writer.

Wait, so is it bad if these things happen on a daily basis to you?

@ Luemas: Guess so. It’s kind of like some force out of your control is having a nasty joke competition.

Granted, it’s far worse when, as the writer, you come to realize that your characters are starting to become aware of their environment and are trying to break away from your situation control. Like how I’m left feeling that I need to hire a virtual P.I. to learn how my Teela ran off, got pregnant, gave birth and I only found out through a few clues…

btw: this one is an artistic reference for anyone that still hasn’t found it <.<

Almost breaks the fourth wall, I think. Doesn’t make it any less funny.
