Hmmm… in an earlier comic http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2009/03/16/0042-weird-animals/ Woo was grossed out when he saw a Raccoon about to eat a worm; has he changed his mind now? Well, even though nothing was in the bag, the question still remains, who put the bag in the vent in the first place? And what will Larisa do with the Holy Grail? Interesting that Larisa would be grossed out by bugs, but I think I would be too.

Woo was the one eating the worms.
Maybe the bugs were a eatin’ the treasure? (Which had miraculously changed from diamonds into COLD HARD CASH?)

Bugs could’ve eaten any -paper- money, and turned it to dirt.

Or; possibly jewels or other hard stuff, were hidden elsewhere.

It’s not easy to draw things the size of a giant either unless you have a godlike mouse steadiness.

Traveling Bag Of Doom, cursed item:
This bag appears to be an ordinary traveling bag.
Detection for magical properties makes it seem as if it were a bag of holding.
The bag can hold up to 30 cubic feet of matter.
It acts as a bag of holding type I, but each hour it has a 5% cumulative chance of turning anything inside into bugs and dirt.
This is an instantaneous effect so dispel magic or similar spells can’t turn the bugs back into what ever was stored inside the Traveling Bag Of Doom.
Only a Wish- or Miracle-spell is able to restore the original items.
I feel we should start an angry mob to make sure they get the tresure they deserve.

If here were only bugs, a bit or dirt and nothingness in the bag, how come Larisa didn’t suspect it’s weight (or lack thereof)?
You ever lift a bag of dirt? It can put on weight pretty quickly.

I can’t tell if Larisa was holding a chalice or her medical box in the last few comics, has she retrieved that yet? I either missed it, or it was off-panel while Sandra and Cloud were having their moment.
I dont know if I should be surprised that no one pointed it out, or just consider playing less nintendo DS, but when I read the title, the prof Layton theme poped up in my mind XD

As seen before in the previous strips they can crawl in and out through a small hole. Since there’s dirt and soil in the bag, it’s a preferred resting place for the bugs compared to other places in the cellar.
