I love this Web Comic the expressions on Woo’s face are pricless and the great face palm is the cherry on top of this slice of the cake of life.

I’m wondering if perhaps Lily is feeling lonesome herself right now, perhaps seeking someone genuine and not full of themselves.
Of course, the pity factor could also be helping. But something in the fourth panel tells me there’s something happening on her side as well, some need she has which is not being met.
Another thing which struck me. Lily is quite the cute raccoon, now that we see more of her than just the last panel of the last comic.
Not that she wasn’t cute then, but we get to see her more fully now.

And, here I was, ready to go on a tanjit about how ‘too‘ she was. As in ‘Too mature‘, ‘Too much like a 10‘, ‘too easy to find‘, ‘too available in the wild‘, which would all add up to ‘all too mated‘.
Sadly, I do not know, off hand, if raccoons mate for life or if it’s just a seasonal thing. Was leaning towards the lifetime ‘marriage’ deal. Which would spell disaster for poor Woo. But, this strip denotes the bruiser that has fought to earn and keep her may not truly exist. *Crosses fingers for a frictionless future*

The way I read the section in Wikipedia, real coons seem not even to mate for a season, arranging things primarily by territory (and there’s that study about one in three females mating with more than one male).
The love life of most real raccoons is not particularly romantic. Compared to many red foxes, that mate for life and really care for their mates, they only meet during mating season and do not care if it’s another male/female next year. Of course there are always exceptions…
Pinguins are said to be very romantic, also Dolphins

no worries, no apology needed, and yes i’m still very glad i took a chance way back then, and “love at first sight” does happen, it did for both her and i at at least.
I agree with Rocket_T on this one. Lily looks, to me, more elegant than cute. Kinda reminds me of either of the Gabor sisters. They could be both elegant and funny.
