@ Mystery Penguin: it’s spelled “cliché.”

The old name comes back to haunt him :) . I’m glad the girl wants to keep talking to him and not let him go. I’m eager to see where this relationship will lead to. Love the “D’oh!’ expression in the third panel; in fact, I love all of Woo’s expressions.

    Hey Klimt.

In related news to the strip, I know a man called Sally. He is a brute who would rip the head off anything that made a crack about his name.

A rose by any other name.

    LOL!
I love this Web Comic the expressions on Woo’s face are pricless and the great face palm is the cherry on top of this slice of the cake of life.
Don’t worry Woo I was the same way when I first met the young lady who would later be my wife
I think she like Lily took pitty on the fellow with the sudden speech impediment and said “Yes” to my request of her having dinner with me. (it was more like begging than a request)
Keep your chin up Woo it looks like she’s intrested as well.

Keep up the great work on this Web comic its a real winner.

Nice one to bring the Rascal-thing back ;)

And the facepalm in pannel 3 is totally yelling “man, I screwed that up!” XD

It’s also cute how she is understanding his strange behavior somewhere between pannel 3 and 4 and reacts accordingly to give the nice guy a chance.
I wonder if there are human girls like that… >,<'''

I’m wondering if perhaps Lily is feeling lonesome herself right now, perhaps seeking someone genuine and not full of themselves.

Of course, the pity factor could also be helping. But something in the fourth panel tells me there’s something happening on her side as well, some need she has which is not being met.

Another thing which struck me. Lily is quite the cute raccoon, now that we see more of her than just the last panel of the last comic.

Not that she wasn’t cute then, but we get to see her more fully now.

Maybe Lily is lonely, too? Maybe she´s had enough of overly self-confident macho raccoons, and feels attracted to this nice young fellow who gets nervous in front of her?

    Interesting. Very interesting.

And, here I was, ready to go on a tanjit about how ‘too‘ she was. As in ‘Too mature‘, ‘Too much like a 10‘, ‘too easy to find‘, ‘too available in the wild‘, which would all add up to ‘all too mated‘.

Sadly, I do not know, off hand, if raccoons mate for life or if it’s just a seasonal thing. Was leaning towards the lifetime ‘marriage’ deal. Which would spell disaster for poor Woo. But, this strip denotes the bruiser that has fought to earn and keep her may not truly exist. *Crosses fingers for a frictionless future*

    @jup-reindeer
The way I read the section in Wikipedia, real coons seem not even to mate for a season, arranging things primarily by territory (and there’s that study about one in three females mating with more than one male).

    Reply  |  Quote
  37. Novil says:

The love life of most real raccoons is not particularly romantic. Compared to many red foxes, that mate for life and really care for their mates, they only meet during mating season and do not care if it’s another male/female next year. Of course there are always exceptions…

And yes, penguins are romantic, they care for their young in the sunless 4-month deathcold.
Not to mention, some females do try to steal other babies if theirs had died

If you had a prayer in the first place, the girl will give you a second chance. She might laugh a bit, but she’ll give you a second chance because there was enough of a spark to make her think. “Aww, he’s nervous. How cute!” instead of “Ugh. He’s a dork.”.

And it seems Woo has that second chance, let’s just hope the bullies don’t return or that if they do Lily is ready to open a can of whoop ass on them for trying to say who she can date.
