I approve muchly. I’m actually curious how she’ll act, she’ll probably be impressed but a little intimidated if he put too much effort into it. Hopefully he got a bit scratched up too so she’s got something to fuss over – if he’s unscathed she might be a little bit too shocked to keep flirting!

been there, done that. i’m not a big guy, 5 feet 8 inches and around 190 lbs, but i’m known as someone best left alone by would be “tough guys”. on the other hand my female friends say, “he’s a big old pussvcat, pet him and he purrs” and my wife long ago decided that no matter what, her man can handle it, no worries.

Woo, you go, boy! Payback’s a Coon!
Woo’s had a lot of experience in the wild world over the last year. He’s been through his own set of trials and tribulations, had some wild and not-so-dangerless adventures. This time around, he’s not so easily intimidated. Add in his human connections, and he has connections and resources (including medical care) at his disposal that most of the wildlife there could only dream of.
As for Tibor… I’d imagine those two clowns are his muscle, not the other way around; he will not likely be coming to avenge them. Given his and Woo’s interactions during the hunter incident, and Woo’s personal involvement in the resolution of that situation, I think he may be slightly less predisposed to running him off…
I suppose the next step is, he takes Lily home to meet the humans… I wonder how she’ll react to him being able to talk with Sandra.

too true, bullies usually forget that lack of muscle does not equal can’t defend self. I was 5′3″ and 120 pounds when 3 football practice skippers decided to mess with the chess team.
can’t go into details of the fight, but when the school security guards arrived 5 minutes later they took the guy who was left by his friends unconcous to the nurse and me to the principal’s office. I wasn’t suspended as much as I was advised to not show up to school for two weeks.

@Novil… It may not be particularly “inspired”, but it’s definitely good! (And it inspired quite a few comments, mostly positive!) Certainly well-drawn too. And I like the little detail of the tag on one raccoon’s ear. I can’t remember if it was there in their previous appearance though.

I didn’t think Woo could ever have that much strength in him. I love it when the undercoon wins so handily, especially when you contrast Woo’s respectfulness to the thuggery of the two larger coons.
It’s a particularly touching moment, in a violent way.

This kind of reminds me of a real life experience from years ago when the family owned chickens. Had some bruiser type roosters that always liked to fight and were very agressive towards the hens. They were kept separated. And, then there was this opposite male. Incredibly timid. Ran from any conflict with those others. Always mellow. Kept him with the hens, as there was no trouble for it.
Well, this weasel started coming around, figuring out how to get into the cages at night. The bruisers never stood a chance. But, when that killer attempted to make a meal of the hens, that mellow rooster became something fierce and we burried the predator, the following morning.

He is still the same racoon we all learned to love trough your comic but now he’s also someone

I just adore the fact that ‘affection’ granted him a bravery that ‘lust’ did not. The first girl was ’sexier’ but he was only in lust, so he left when told to. Now that he thinks he’ll really like the girl, he’s willing to fight. Awesome.
