The current story arc started with this strip: Proof of Love.
Sandra and Woo updates three times this week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Cloud: Larisa seems to really like me too…
- Theo: Most girls do, Casanova…
- Benjamin: Duuude, Larisa is teh crazy!
- Theo: But she’s also hot, hot, hot!
- Benjamin: Yeah, so hot that you’ll get your fingers burnt on her… literally!
- Theo: That’s quite possible. I heard Andrew had to spend two days in the hospital with second-degree burns after a date with her.

She sets her dates on FIRE?!
Talk about a warm hearted relationship….
Good thing I like them crazy. And I run cold so fire’s good
Well, this IS Larisa we’re talking about… doesn’t really surprise me 😛
“Supposedly” in the 3rd panel.
The sketches are a really interesting look at the comic in development!
@Nobody: I think that’s intentional. He’s so nerdy and hyper-correct that he says “supposably” instead of “supposedly”
Hey, I know English isn’t your first language, but I thought I’d let you know that “supposably” isn’t a word. For future reference, “Supposedly” is.
Of course, I would believe you if you said that Theo is just an idiot who can’t speak properly.
Not trying to be a dick. My entire family’s just annoying with grammar, myself included. Love this comic. It’s one of my favorites.
“This is why I’m hot.” OH MY GOD I’M ON FIRE!
I’m in total agreement with you, Vivvav. So much so that I went and Googled it to show I was right.
Oops.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/supposably
It’s the better choice of the two, as well. So I guess I stand corrected.
Interesting friends, he has…
After this comic, I can finally conclude that NOTHING is stranger or faster than a rumor in high school.
Unless it’s 4-chan…
Anyone else think the guy with the black hair should have a certain Andy Samberg song for a theme song? Just a thought…
yeah the fact she set him on fire is ether she likes him or he tired to pull some thing. or she was board i tried to to that to a date once lol
by the way I LOVE THIS COMIC GOOD WORK KEEP IT UP!!!!!
C’mon baby light my fire!~
Not ON fire! NOT ON FIRE!!!
I don’t doubt Theo for a second.
The thought occurred to me that the oft-misused “literally” sounds misused here, but probably isn’t.
O_O
On FIRE?!! What is this, some sort of insane kink?!! Dammit, Rule 34 (or is it 36?) strikes again!!
I’ve got the feeling that whoever Larisa does end up with is going to be a Lawful Good type. And have little appreciation for the finer things in life. Like fire. S:D
Oi, oi. Second degree burns?
That’s about as painful as things get, depending on -where- and how large those burns are. Breaking a limb is far less uncomfortable.
That girl is decidedly scary.
Someone Larisa was dating ended up with second degree burns… why does that not surprise me?
Guess where she’s going with her date.
Fire in the disco. Fire in the taco bell!
Fire in the disco. Fire in the gates of… wait a minute… o,ô’
…
Don’t you want to know how Larisa keeps starting fires?
It’s her desire, It’s her desire, It’s her desire
Ok, I should stop now XD”’
Also, I can totally imagine Larisa twisting some (poor(?)) guy around her little finger.
PS: I’m already voting twice a day Novil 😛 (more doesn’t work)
Maybe we should try to vote quick after the start of a month?
Aw come on, at least give her a chance, perhaps they were just near a fireplace… campfire… trashcan on fire… or the guy just touched Larisa, yeah that’s how hot she is. Why do I feel like saying this may get me in jail for a few years? XD
wait a moment, (flips through archives to “spring fever”)
dang kid moves fast, from kisses in the park to 2nd degree burns in 1 month. after I stopped being one, I’ll never understand them.
Whatever brave soul ends up with Larisa is going to need some really, REALLY good insurance. That’s all I’m sayin’.
I forget, what grade are they in? I don’t remember drooling over girls until late middle school… Before that I just viewed them as potential lab rats.
That maybe because I am a sociopath, though =D
Changed “supposably” to “that’s quite possible” to end this stupid discussion. At least it gave me the idea for a new strip.
I don’t think the burnt spots were *that* large.
I also think it had to be an accident. Why would Larisa set her date on fire on purpose?
I remember drooling over a specific girl when I was 8. Naturally, Sandra and Woo is influenced by my own experiences as a child.
Wow! how can a girl become that hot!? xD
(Lets see if I can quote properly…)
Maybe a romantic fire, like an abonded barn or storage building?
“When I grow up, I want to be a fireman.”
“So you can save lives and fight fires?”
“No, so I can date Larisa!”
Hope I got this quote thing right. XP
Same thing I was thinking… ofcourse he may have done somethin bad and she got mad, we know how rough she can be with ppl like that. XD
That is awesome…
Boring date, perhaps? Larisa tends to break out the lighter whenever things get boring.
Or perhaps a little burn scar or two is just Larisa´s way of saying “I think you´re hot”? 😉
i can imagine the girl on fire thingy. is she maybe pyro?
oww well. nice comic
Is Andrew the boy Sid has spotted in the park before in Spring Fever strip?
Given Larisa’s chaotic nature, the why question is much harder to apply. Why would she blend and force-feed a girl her homework?
Does the second panel have a typo? I assumed he was saying Larissa is “the crazy”, but it says “teh crazy.” Just a note.
Nice expressions in this installment. It’s almost as if it were animated.
I’m sure Larissa would just rise from her own ashes like a phoenix if her pyro tendencies ever seemed to get the better of her. Her suitors wouldn’t have the same luxury.
Obviously, Larisa is the Pyro, minus the suit. ^^
You really made me laugh, because, if you translate “fireman” literally (as “fire” and “man”) into my language, it becomes a mythological being, a flaming man. Now, would THAT be the right date for Larisa? 😀
after the Larissa incident Andrew said “It was worth it” when asked if he do it again he responded “It depends on what shes dressin.. but hell I stil have my left arm so of course!!” apperently his plan of action is to drool over the burn wounds.
I started to look on girls first year of what you call middleschool, but my really first love crush maddness was at 14, man that was heavey. I asked many people (is one of my frecuent questions) and corroborated my theory that the strongest uncontroled love and/or drool comes between 13 and 14 years.
I think the kids start the fixiation on the oposite gender at 11 yo. basically on my experiences as big brother/cousin
Um. . . aren’t these kids just a wee bit too young to date? It’s a little creepy, IMO.
I remember something similar in the same general age range; it was for Catwoman. 🙂
Larisa would make a great firefighter when she grows up. She starts ’em, then put ’em out? Perfect business plan.
just what ever boy needs…someone who will warm up to him!
Technically, she´s someone who´d warm HIM up to HER…
Brings a whole new meaning to “candelit dinner.”
If you capture one of these Larisas, do you need to keep them in a freezer then?
Fire good!
my friend runs “sandra and Woo” on his other website: wereraccoonsandotherbadstuff.com
It is copyrighted Powree and Oliver knorzer. Also he SAID he asked you for permission. But I don’t actually know. So someone should tell me if he did or not, because he can be a liar sometimes. If he didn’t, someone should ban his website!
It’s actually crammed with chainmails in the comments section anyway. There’s this really daft one: “Helo im Larrissa. i wil cum 2 ur bed at niight burn u dwn with my fire. and teh only way 2 save urself is 2 cupy ths messagge 50 times within tese 48 hrs. startng now.”
Honestly?? Also he made ENDLESS mistakes with his typing. And some people actually think it makes them look cool!!
Why is the comic PG-13 on Topwebcomics? Is it the 11-year-old children, the cute raccoon, or the constant references to pyromania? (More seriously, is it related to the drug themed storyline/s?)
Anyway, hope you’ll rise up the ranks – I’ve enjoyed this comic for a while now.
The misspelling of “the” as “teh” looks intentional. I don’t understand the origins or anything, but it does indicate the tone of Benjamin’s comment. It’s one of those odd quirks of modern speech.
