Ye Thuza should be careful though: if Cloud and Sandra come to believe that was an attack on their happiness (and kids that age can react quite strongly), they will try to hide their relationship from her, and won’t ask her any questions anymore when such would be needed… and that’s the last a parent of a child in puberty wants.
ambi, there is the problem….. they need to think about it like that. which requires three layers of rethinking a problem. something american adults don’t do let alone kids (but give it to sandra and cloud to outsmart adults)

Great portrayal of the embarrassment! I never would have thought that there would be SxC supporters inside the comic. The embarrassment is even more humiliating since that the mom is in on it as well ^^. I foresee several comments, who will undoubtedly complain that they didn’t kiss, that means you fangirls.

The REAL question is, how long were those two watching before their cover was blown? With those natural ninja warrior skills, either of these ladies could have been in the room since before the movie started!
I love how Ye Thuza and Yuna are on opposite sides… as if thinking that if one of them is discovered, the other one can keep watching… ^_^
btw I love the progression of expressions. Especially Sandra’s. XD

Part of the story was that all the people on the spaceship were overweight due to lack of exercise and always having everything done for them, the captain included. In fact, it was an heroic moment when he finally stood on his own two feet without help, no joke. So yes, he does look a bit like “Mr StayPuffed” and I’m sure that’s intentional.
If anyone hasn’t seen the movie, I think it’s well worth renting it. Might even be worth buying.
At least Cloud now knows his mother isn’t going to discourage his and Sandra’s romance.
Of course, if Ye Thuza really understood boys, she’d take Yuna by the hand and lead her out of the room with a line like: “Come on, Yuna, boys never want their First Kiss watched by either little sisters or mothers.”
Seriously, I can’t see Ye Thuza “spying” on Sandra and Cloud like that. My guess is she followed Yuna intending to stop her but was a bit too late then partially retrieved the situation by expressing her approval of the aborted First Kiss.
Not really a big deal but why did Cloud and Sandra switch places?
Different perspectives – the first two panels are from the perspective of looking over the couch back at them and the TV behind them, and then the third and fourth panels reverse the viewpoint – they’re now looking from where the TV is back at the couch.
First I was like: “awwww…”
Then I thought: “Oh well, little sisters…”
But THEN I lol’d! XD
Well, yeah, I did not see that coming.
Poor Sandra ^^ her face in pannel two is priceless XD
And the last pannel just combines cuteness with mere awesomeness XD

Sounds like a problem related to the 180 degree rule in cinematography. Well explained in Paprika, but can’t find a clip of it. Basically, if you have two characters interacting, there’s an imaginary line between them that you shouldn’t cross as it would ‘break the flow of the scene’. But it’s not a rule set in stone, lots of directors break it from time to time to actually set the scene, as is done here with Novil showing the end of Wall-E.

Actually, in response to the whole “switching places thing” you need to look back a comic. (http://www.sandraandwoo.com/2010/05/13/0164-tipping-point/ for the lazy.) Sandra was actually on the right (Viewed left) side of the couch in that strip. Here, from both angles, they have actually switched places.
But, that’s actually accounted for, in a way. If you look at the last panel especially, it’s clear that Cloud and Sandra are no longer on the couch, but on the floor. At some point, they moved, and they ended up on the opposite sides.
So there we are.
Ahh, Ye Thuza is just using her parental god given right to humiliate her children. I doubt it has anything to do with her disapproval of Clouds relationship.
As for the mirror image couch switch thingy, it doesn’t take away from the awesome of this strip so I personally don’t care.
Darn it.

You gotta wonder about these people who root for a couple to get together while they’re in the middle of expressing their affection. It’d be like running onto the field in the middle of a home run to stop the runner and tell him how much you support his team.
Yuna. Awesome namesake, but conduct? Lacklustre at best. In all, I’d rate this situation an “OH COME ONNNNN MAAAAAANNNNNNN!”

Aw, man, I hate it when that happens. And it ALWAYS happens. I suppose it creates perfect suspense for the next time it’ll happen, though.

kissing and “teening” around like they do makes little sense to me, if thats their age.
