I see a certain raccoon has what looks like Raccoon Pattern Baldness
So just what did he do to lose that hair?
Got in a tumble perhaps?
Obviously he needs it to glue something together, but what ?

that’s either tail pattern baldness or a really evil caterpillar has eaten woo’s fur
Maybe Woo got caught in a sticky situation… In a mouse glue trap.
Hmm…. Maybe he’s already in the molting stage.
Not so sly his he?
He might he’s shedding. I doubt it though, shedding is not as dramatic. He most likely got into a fight and wants to keep it a secret because it involved Lily and if he tells Sandra about the fight and Lily it could jeopardize his relationship with Lily (long sentence is LONG). It looks like he has been doing this for a while, there’s an empty tube of glue beside him! (Is the comic lines thicker, or is it just me? It’s fine if it is).
I’m guessing tomorrow we find out what trouble Woo got into..
Doubtful glue would help… I’ve dealt with fake fur, and glue doesn’t work well.
Hopefully in his shock he doesn’t drop and break whatever he’s trying to fix… But yes, it does seem like he’s gluing some kind of extension onto his tail.
Hopefully the inevitable vet visit (whether it’s to remove the glue, or to diagnose whatever prompted him to glue something on in the first place) isn’t too traumatic.
This better not have anything to do with his relationship with Lily…

@Jamie: Remember the Time Zones. Novil posts updates at midnight Monday and Thursday mornings… Central European Time. For me, on the east coast of the U.S., that’s typically about 7pm on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.

Hmm. Could the strip with the coon skin cap have been a bit of crafty foreshadowing?
Could Woo have found that hat, and now insecure is trying to destroy his fur?
Or maybe Woo was playing around with the wax set and is now trying to reattach his hair. Either way, looking forward to how this arc ends.
Woo is not only the president of Fur Club for Raccoons, he’s also a client.
Hmm, my guess is that Woo go into some kind of fight out in the woods. Either that or Lily really is a ‘wild’ raccoon. 0.o

Maybe he’s not gluing the hair in, maybe he’s plucking it out and gluing it to something? Perhaps a present for Sandra/Lily? Restoring one of Sandra’s toys he’s accidentally ruined?
Hmmm, there is more tothe picture than what most presume.
*puts on detective cap and puffs on a licorice pipe*
One the floor is what looks to be a swatch of fur, black on colour as well as a tube of glue with some of its contents extruded.
Next we see our furry bandit caught in the midst of doing something he wishes to conceal from prying eyes.
In his left paw was a swatch of fur, that in his surprise, he has sent flying.
In his right he is firmly grasping his tail near its quarter mark towards the end.
Now here is the little bit that seems to have been overlooked thus far.
There is a fresh white lozenge of what seems to be glue on a bare patch near the end of his tail.
Also notice the distinct semicircular shape of the area of missing fur.
I surmise that he is attempting to cover up the evidence of an encounter with something that would take a bit out of a raccoon.
It could not be a trap since those targeting raccoons are much larger and, as far as we have been led to believe, removed from the neighborhood.
That leaves us with someone who would literally take a bit out of our furry friend.
Our list is short on this one at the moment.
We have Lily, her Father, another suitor, the wolverine mention a little while back or some beast as yet not mentioned.
I say it was more than likely a Lawyer.
Maybe he has bitten or licked his tail too much. Thats something that happens sometimes to the cats. However, they don’t try to fix it with glue

A racoon that breaks things is normal I had nothin with that, but HOW can a racoon lose its furr on its tail?

perhaps the tail was ripped off of woo by lily, during either a fun thing, or by her finding out that woo has done something that thoroughly P.O.’s her off, i can think of a few things but children get onto this so i shall hold back on that.

He could be developing mange. It would make sense for him to hide it because he would need to go to the vet; which would be a typical scare for pets. So either this will be a short strip event, or theres something more serious going on about the veterinarian’s office.
It seems to be something he’s ashamed of, he’s trying to literally cover it up. What did he do (or have done to him) that he would want to hide….With his social network, the possibilities are endless!
does anybody remember that one strip where there was that woman who wanted to like kill them because she thought they had rabies? im guessing that might be it
just saying. or it could be woo’s old owner, out to get him. everybody forgot about him didnt they?
It is common for Racoons to shed like that depending on many factors; diet and stress among them.
