The current story arc started with this strip: Hit-Boy.
You really should not jump at conclusions until you know the rest of the story!
- Brandon: Two lunatics dressed as superheroes just killed my friend!!
- Nigel O’Sullivan: Now this came out of the blue.
- Caption: What happened? The next comics will bring the answer!

I was too utterly amazed by the comic to think of a witty pun.
Well playedl, well played.
OH SHI– I do not see how he could not know :I
It is very clear that the costumed duo are Ye Thuza and Cloud, and the victim Ralph’s drug dealing kin and friends….
Therefore that is exactly what DIDN’T happen. Can’t wait to see what actually happened.
Ummmm… Okay I realy can’t wait the next strip cuz of this cliffhanger, but killing?! O_O
I know Ye Thuza is all superheroish and Kick-as-ish, ut killing? That’s so not her (In my eyes, so I’m naive sue me. :p) so let’s hope our dear author will shine his genious again at us. X3
What!! They did what!! I guess they didnt see the movie till the end.
PD:I recomend Mirage Man, a movie about a third world superhero (with no real powers) made by third world filmakers (with no real budget). Cheese, B class, really geeky and awsome, The plot is a lot like Kickass, but it is from 2008
What? I expected it. I assumed this sort of thing happens all the time. It’s not like it’s the “Spanish Inquisition”!
Okay!!!! Now we have to wait to see what is really going on!
WHAT THE-!?!
Still kinda funny.
Wait, dressed as superheroes? Eh, I don’t think I like the idea of seeing Cloud in skin-tight spandex and a cape, but this is your comic so whatever…
Okay… I had a lot of WTF-moments since I started to read this webcomic…
but to quote this guy: “Now this came… unexpected.”
To bad I’m probably going to miss the next to updates *sigh* >,>’
(Yes, I’m gone for a week. You don’t need to endure my stupid posts for that time 😛 )
Well, at the up side I can read 3 strips in a row then ^^
Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Ok, lets just wait and see the real issue that will rise from this.
And hopefully not a Monty Python or Mel Brooks joke.
I know it’s now what I expect, so I’ll just leap the guessing stage and wait for… THE REVEAL!
@Gaboris:
I don’t think we’d go into actual killing. I think the “my friend” will be something entirely unsuspected, and/or the “kill” will not be what we think.
Also, Officer Nigel looks familiar. Is he related to any of the other characters?
I’m not too concerned, someone probibly got knocked out and they thought the guy to be dead, or some masked superheroes(not cloud and mother) beat up the drug dealers and the police arrive just as cloud and crew do. insert scenes of them claiming innocence and the next 60 minutes are dedicated to them proving said innocence…… okay maybe I’m thinking of how the movie would run.
To paraphrase the officer, “Now this, I didn’t expect.” In hindsight, maybe I should have, but I didn’t.
And “Now this came… unexpected” just doesn’t work grammatically in English.
A few suggestions:
“Now this, I didn’t expect”
“Now this is… unexpected”
“Now this development, I didn’t expect”
“I didn’t see that coming”
“Now this comes under the heading of… unexpected”
Five bucks says the death was staged.
O_o I’m laughing and cringing at the same time. Bravo!
BIG MOMMA AND HIT BOY STRIKE!….semms that they failed to kill that one though
10 says it was Cloud who “died” and his mother and sister are the “lunatics” who killed him.
“You really should not jump at conclusions until you know the rest of the story!”
If you don’t want people jumping to conclusions, you shouldn’t make misleading cliffhangers. 😉
What a show!
What are you saying!? This is EXACTLY the time to jump to conclusions!
Following on from Melchior, I offer the following:
Brandon’s speech: no change, it’s good 🙂
Policeman: Well… this is a surprise/unexpected…
Hey… that’s unexpected/a surprise, these days/any more.
And variations upon. It depends exactly what was meant in the german context as my online dictionary is giving me multiple english meanings for some of the words. I’ve refrained from putting in any exclamations because he seems to be doing it completely deadpan and uninterested. Possibly he’s seen a few copycats along these lines in his time, either in the past, or of late. Getting it right will involve looking inside the author’s head 🙂
Narration: Oh! What’s occurring? Find out in the next exciting comic!
(or similar, paraphrased from typical multipart superhero comics)
Or of course, the classic… Have CLOUD, and YE THUZA, finally succumbed to the LURE of vigiliantism? Is Brandon just massively over-reacting? Will Inspector O’SULLIVAN get to the bottom of this MYSTERY? Find out in the next EXCITING episode – SAME Woo time, SAME Woo channel!
Nigel- Ok now tell me what you and your friend were doing before these ‘superheros’ attacked?
Brandon-..uh…not dealing..
Also, interestingly, the same translator suggests whoever was dressed up has killed his friend (friends??) “by accident”. Hmm.
Oh my O_O what happened?
I always knew Cloud was going to murder someone.
Indeed, this is unexpected. I’d have though they’d be a LOT more stealthy about their “business.” Leaving witnesses? VERY sloppy!
The question is, what do you intend for your targets to fear? With drug dealers, without any witnesses their blame a rival, which could start a war. But Leave a witness to the vigilantes, and while it’ll prompt less fear than an unknown wandering monster, it’ll at least still be fear and not rage.
o_o
It took them 20 minutes to reach and take out their target? I’m impressed.
@Melkior
I’ve heard people say “this came… unexpected” and I can’t find the gramatical offense in it. I have to agree, though, that “this is… unexpected” is far more commen
Sorry, “common”, not “commen”
Yeah that’s what I’m hoping as well, but we will never know… till the next strip of course. XD
Just watch: Woo and the Shadow ate some little animal that he liked.
The grammatical offense is the mixing of tenses and then misspelling grammatical ^_^
As for the series of panels – what is the file the officer working on I wonder?
Haha! This reminded me of a story my dad used to tell. When he was in high school, one of his best friends(a girl) was abused by her boyfriend. My dad and a couple of his friends ‘kidnapped’ the dude- captured and blindfolded him, and drove him around sounding scary and talking about how they were going to get him. Eventually they pushed him out of the car and drove away really quickly.
Some one pulled a kick ass! I wonder if mom is dressed as Hit Girl or Big Momma something cheezy and B.A.
The cop (Nigel O’Sullivan) face just says, “Murder by masked heroes, get in line pal.”
I just got it! 2 comics ago cloud dropped a line about his mom killing druggies to ralph, scaring him. clud followed hiim home, to make sure. last comic, cloud and his mom set out to make it happen. they’re gonna scare brandon off of drugs for the rest of his life….
does anyone else notice the fact that according to the clock in the background, this was a 15 minute strip of the guy working then Ralph bursts in, i notice those small things sometimes, but i did not see cloud in the window on the earlier strip till i read one of those comments, so it is interesting.
Either there’ll be a shocking twist or Ye Thuza went a liiiiiitle far.
Cloud’s mom took him to see “eclipse”.
Personally When I saw Nigel’s dialogue it made me think of the old detective stories where the detective narrates everything but the other people talking like he was telling a story about what happened.
That cop is about to have the most interesting day of his career… XD
I’m going to guess what happened.
Two lunatics killed that guy’s friend wearing superhero costumes.
Am I getting close?
Haha, nice!
And this has nothing to do with this comic, but I just thought you’d all like to know that the newspaper comic, My Cage, featured Woo in a cameo.
Well, he must be exaggerating a bit, or may have been fooled a bit. But as long as he is afraid, the job was well done.
Hmm… still seems a little off now, but good enough. It might be one of those things that just doesn’t translate “cleanly” and will always feel strange.
