The current story arc started with this strip: Tick.
Remember the news post about the signed Firestarter / Disaster Girl print I got from Dave and Zoe in February? Well, I finally remembered to take a photograph of the disastrous consequences of my first attempt to put it into a frame:
Not visible in the photograph: The bend in the print itself and the drops of blood I lost after cutting my forefinger on the glass.
- Sandra: Dang.
- Sandra: Looks like even smart-mouthed raccoons have their good sides.

Wow, the Kite-Eating Tree! I thought it had felled during a storm, though. What brought this on?
Oh dear… is this Charlie Brown´s kite-eating tree?

Yes.
Nice! I missed Woo.
Wow… the old nemesis is finally beaten, if only once. I’m glad Woo wasn’t eaten!
As a lifelong Peanuts fan, I applaud this. Go Woo!
@ firedome:
I though it was obvious that Woo > Snoopy
Simple yet fun, the grinning tree remind me of George from Johnny Wander http://www.johnnywander.com/comics/116
eat that kite eating tree
One more thing that reminds me that I really really want to buy a kite!
😕 The comment between Landbark and Novil’s is just coming up as a blank box for me… weird…
@ Ethereal_fire:
There have been ads in it for the last several days. Maybe no one bought the space?
Hahahaaha! Aww, this is really tender! Woo rocks! Sorry., tree, you’ll have to continue hungry this time!
I have a kite that looks like an eagle 😀
I never used it though…
good thing it’s just a kite eating tree.
either that or racoons aren’t that tasty.
Or to put it that way: Woo is more smart-mouthed than the tree ^^
Boy, these days the Kite Eating Trees just aren’t as quick as they used to be.Back in MY day, that kite would have been spit up and chewed out before Woo even got to the trunk!
Sandra is a lot happier than CB. It was always something with that kid. Plus Sandra doesn’t waste time and happiness on such things as a sport she sucks at or a girl that would not even give him the time of day.
I now have an image in my head of Charlie Brown getting his kite stuck in the tree, reading this, then building a catapult to fire Snoopy into the tree.
I was wondering why the tree had a face on it. I’m glad I read the comments. It’s been a very long time since I’ve read any Peanuts comics with the kite-eating tree.
@ Ethereal_fire:
That’s because sometimes there is on that place a advertisement. Strangely it is sometimes empty…
@ Blitz:
Maybe this one is on a low carb diet? 🙂

Funny… I would have imagined it to look different. You know, fangs, crazed-serial-killer-style grin, bits and pieces of previous victims stuck in its branches. This one looks more like it´s trying to say, “can somebody PLEASE get that raccoon out of my private parts?”
But seriously, I really like it when you inculde references to classic comic strips.
Loved that tree B)
I just love third pannel n_n
Woo: Screw you tree I’m taking her kite back.
Tree: awww but Its so pretty. I want it!
lol That would be one weird convo!
This might get deleted for being off-topic, but I don’t know the right place to discuss the “voting incentive.”
But I think today’s draft sketch of “The Solution Is Part Of The Problem” is really interesting; Sandra looks like she was supposed to appear like a begging puppy before the final version had her clasping her hands together… Definitely would have given that comic an entirely different vibe.
Oh noes! The tree ate tanuki Mario! Or that’s just Woo’s tail sticking out of the leaves…
About your new poll(I don’t see a comments section for it?) “Do you prefer short, medium-length, long or very long story arcs?”
My answer would be “however long it takes for it to come to its natural conclusion.”. Five or fifty pages doesn’t matter to me, but if you make it long just to make it longer, or cut stuff out that should be there then it’s a bad thing.
Since I’m not a great fan of… Peanuts was it? Ummm that Charlie Brown and Snoopy comic. Sorry it didn’ make such a big crash in Hungary. So I don’ know aboot the tree, but after I read the others comments even I say it’s a nice reference. Nice to get back to the old style, but Hit-boy was still great so don’ worry man, just keep up the good work. 😉
Sorry I didn’ comment on the last two comics, didn’ have net for a while, but I’ll do the comments now. :3
he bit the tree, it blew down, the end. how is the weather?
Ha ha! No kite eating tree is a match for a talking Raccoon! ……..I can’t believe I just typed that with a straight face. XD
They should simply build a tree-house in the tree. That way, they can drop water balloons on passing Clouds.
