The current story arc started with this strip: Pizza I.
Tomorrow, Sandra and Woo will be two years old. To celebrate the birthday, we will publish the three page long comic A Day to Remember by Powree on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Powree has already posted the first two pages on her DeviantArt account some time ago, but the third page is new and I have rewritten the dialog of the first two pages.
- Saleslady: What do you want?
- Larisa: One million dollars!
- Saleslady: Here ya go.
- Larisa: Keep the change.
- Saleslady: And what do you want?
- Sandra: One million dollars?
- Saleslady: I’m sorry, we’re out of that. But we still have plenty of pizza left.
- Sandra: Awwwww.
- Larisa: You’re never happy, are you!?

aheem– WTH?
That’s some cliffhanger after the last strip…
Still, how can sandra expect millions lying around so often – I wish I were Larissa… 🙂
O_o wow…just wow…if only that could happen to me XD sadly it wont due to how much bad luck i have though lol
You gotta tell me how to buy money XD
…And everything is relative, isn’t it,Sandra?
She got that for selling information on Soviet Russia’s military plans.
“One million dollars!” is a code for “The nukes are located at xxxx.”
Now I must hide, for I will be hunted down since I know who one of the vendors and informants are.
Now see, you never got service like that when I was at school.
Wait, what?
How…
Ah, whatever. It’s still funny.
I need to get Larissa’s Guide to School Cafeterias; she clearly knows the right stuff to ask for.
I think this is yet another indication that Larissa is involved in something fishy when we’re not looking. KGB? Mafia? MI6? I don’t know, but the cafeteria lady knows her lines well.
Of course, if you ignore that, the joke is comedy gold!
Which should be more worrying: the fact that Larissa knows how to get a million dollars from the school cafeteria, or the fact that now she has a million dollars?
Boy, what I could do with a million bucks right now.
I hate to double post, but I noticed Larisa is using double negatives in the last sentence. Proper would be “You’re never happy are you?”
“You’re happy aren’t you” is also grammatically correct, and sarcastic as well. 😀
They have this every day, you say?
ok, that made my day <3
Kudos, Novil.
@ Nivarion:
I… may be wrong, since English is not my native language, but… I always thought that the question had to go with the verb form. So if you say “never”, you’re saying a word that is a negative, but isn’t related to the verb, and the verb is in positive, so the “question” has to be in negative.
As I said, I may be wrong, since I’m Spanish. In my language, double negative can be a strong negative ^^U
Now how the hell does that work?
@ Hobbes:
Personally, I’m more concerned that this school even HAS that much cash to throw around in the first place.
how did that work? and now a new plot unfolds about larisa dun dun dun.
Well that was unexpected.
Wait a second… Larisa with a sudden million dollar increase? The chances of chaos and fires everywhere got a few notches higher.
@ ShadOBabe:
Larisa lives for unexpected.
If I had a million dollars (if I had a million dollars)
I’d work a school cafeteria and hand it out to kids….
Man, I guess the dollar’s really gone into the toilet…
Well, maybe Sandra is better of without it. I mean, people who were not born into money and haven’t worked hard to achieve it have a harder time keeping it and usually wind up in more debt than they were before.
Wait… What did just happen?!?!? O_O
Next time I go to a cafeteria or a restaurant I’ll ask for 1 million dollars.

I’m guessing the person behind the counter promised to keep it safe for when Larissa picked it up.
i dont think that my cafeteria had that…
I have to agree with a number of the above comments, it would be more natural to say “You’re never happy, are you?”
Life is suffering Larisa… Suffering!
Huuuuh…. What the…? I don’t get this strip at all. What kind of cafeteria would just give money like that? Especially heavy sums of money, like one million dollars. Could it be that Sandra is hallucinating? I’m really getting perplexed.
@ asdf:
yeah, life in the world is really hard
Wow, am I the only one who finds this logic a bit “dream like”? Yeah I think I’m pretty much am the only one. I mean this IS Sandra and Woo. X3
BTW yeah pizza is good so be happy Sandy and don’ care that you could buy a million more with that money! 😀
@ Unknownman: True, but let’s not forget that this is a cafeteria in a webcomics universe. :3

@ YukoHoon: It used to be that way in English, but since then a double-negative now negates itself. But saying “You’re never happy, aren’t you?” is highly unusual.
Wha…..?!
This is getting too absurd, lol
In Soviet Russia, a million dollars asks for YOU!
I thought the dream sequence ended a few strips back. Looks like I was wrong. Sandra’s gonna be tired when she wakes up. :-J
If I had asked my dinner ladies foe a million dollars they would’ve sent me to the headmaster’s office for cheek… They were scary people my dinner ladies.
I wish I had service like that in my school… I’d probably ask for the answers to the next Trigonometry test. Or maybe the cute girl’s phone number in my English class. LOL 🙂
The final line should probably be, “You’re never happy, are you?”
I kind of want to see Woo as a baby…
I could only imagine what a raccoon’s first words would be.
wow that would be awesome, wonder how that’s gonna go
@ YukoHoon:
Sometimes it is used for emphasis, but doing so is always wrong. However, I highly doubt Larissa cares that much about proper grammar, and is speaking informally as a result
I agree with “You’re never happy, are you?”, and I raise with something like “You’re always complaining, aren’t you?” The strip is great BTW! 😀
Ah, I see, it’s a scalding parody of the Monopoly game at McDonalds!
Funny…. I have dreams like this a lot too LOL! One of these days it’ll happen… I really believe that it will! Of course… I also believe that aliens & invisible dragons steal everyone’s house-keys and left shoes.
Dang poll! How am I supposed to choose between Larisa and Cloud? They’re both awesome.
…
wat
@ Hobbes:
The fact she now has one million dollars.
Dream sequence anyone?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
