The current story arc started with this strip: Priorities.
Woo! Three updates this week! 🙂
I’m just as curious as you what’s the matter with this bottomless pit (of doom). I’m sure our heroes will eventually investigate it. Maybe in 2012.
- Sandra: Ow! My nose!
- Peter: Whoa, Cloud! Never thought you’d be such a bad boy! Giving your own girlfriend a bloody nose!
- Peter: Well, I guess they’re right when they say that love hurts. Ho ho ho.
- Peter: HEY, MY BALL!!
- Sign: Bottomless Pit
- Sign: of Doom
- Peter: Ohh nooo. Right into the bottomless pit!

…a comic of the week about what happens to things going down the pit…endless possibilities, there.
@ firedome:
yea except this is Cloud we’re talking about here, you know the one that is training to be a video game superhero? i doubt Peter would even touch him, hence why he had a scared look n his face when cloud stole the ball from him.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Peter’s expression is more that of surprise than fear, and who wouldn’t be surprised if someone was grabing your ball when you’re least expecting it?
Compared to what Sandra would have planned, Peter is probably better off this way…
NO!! WHAT DID THE SOCCER BALL DO TO YOU!! why!!
I want a little sign that says “of Doom” to enhance all my larger ones…
“Ho, ho, ho!”
Oh no.
PETER IS SANTA.
“Why couldn’t it have landed in the pool of acid instead?”
I thought he was gonna pop the ball with his bare hands and feed it to the guy. Oh well, he is a pacifist… sort of 🙂
@ Sparks:
He said “Look out” only right before impact.
I was thinking an omni-slash was coming, or at least a Braver or something, but this way the kid is still alive, also, i’ve been thinking, since Cloud is named after a melee charater and Yuna is named after a charater that was a summoner and can switch classes now, will Angel train her in the way of the sword or the way of the gun, or the mage or man the possiblies are endless with a bro/sis team between the two of em. I smell a spin–off

He’s too FF7 to use it as a Blitzball
It looks like a well. Someone probably just put those signs there as a joke.
Well the older boy got what he wanted and he is dumb
Late to the party again, oh well.
Btw to Novil, do you have any plan to release Sandra and Woo in dead tree format?
@ Ray:
He’s named after the FF VII that is ALSO in melee.
Also, please don’t reference FF X-2. I like to pretend it didn’t happen.
I misinterpreted your post, @Ray.
Please disregard my last comment.
Except the part about FF X-2.
Seriously.
Never happened.
Jerk. Accidents do happen. When they do, you apologies and ask if the people you just launched a projectile at are all right .
You do not crack a joke an walk away laughing.
Then they’re entitled to get even.
That guy got off easy. Presuming this is the end of the conflict.
Of doom.
conveniently placed bottemless pit
…OF DOOM
Ah the old “Throw The Ball Into The Bottomless Pit Of Doom” revenge kick. Classic.
like how no one notices the dude with the ball looks 100% like Murdoc the basest for the Gorillaz
NO NOT INTO THE PIT IT BURNS!!!!!
…of doom.
Ha, the swords clashing like that is from Scribblenaughts (or I’ve bean playing to much), and why the heck wouldn’t cloud kill the guy instead of the ball? Poor ball.

Damn Beatles .. always ruining other peoples fun
@ Geizt:
Excessive ? That’s the least we could say. Peter just yelled them “WATCH OUT !! ” in the previous page, so he did what was good to do, right ?
You gotta love the second panel.
*cloud used steal*
You know what I realized from reading this strip? Soccer and football are the exact same thing! Who would’ve guessed?
Oh, and nice touch. That Bottom Less Pit. Of Doom. Really made me laugh.
I love how the “of Doom” sign looks like it was added as an afterthought X3
Not just ANY bottomless pit… the bottomless pit of DOOM!
@ Novil:
I know this is old, but just has to be said.
That would be soccer ball heaven… Not doom.
Oh, so when I get to the recent strips, I can expect that investigation, right? I can’t wait ;p
@ Geizt:
I know this has nothing to do with his comment, but… OMG GUMSHOE
It’s 2012 now. Can we expect that Bottomless Pit OF DOOM exploration anytime soon?
Welp, he deserved that.
P.S: To quote Bone: “Bottomless. Didn’t know you could do that.”
It’s 2012 now, let’s investigate! 😀
I loved Sandra and Cloud’s eyes of extreme anger. They’re so classic; there’s no other way to draw them, besides being done in perspective, of course. Also, I got some ideas as to what Cloud and Sandra were thinking based on the images in their respective thought bubbles.
2013 and no exploration of the bottomless pit of doom… 🙁
Nice signage.
Why is there a bottomless pit (of doom) there???
Isn’t that the same guy who was afraid of Cloud in the first strip cloud appeared in? Kind of an idiot if he thought that cloud would be less threatening as he got older.

So that ball will be out again soon enough.
Certainly good there was a convenient bottomless pit of doom nearby. I mean, what are the odds of that?
@ Novil:
The poor soccer ball!
