LOL FoxNews. That’s pretty good. Gotta say.
LOL indeed.
And yet, these guys are hardly more ridiculous than the real thing…
And THAT my people is why when you have hair like that you can get people to belive,do, or say anything ESPICIALLY on fox news thats why i watch CBS.
Heh. She departed through the “departure” gate, despite it being an arriving flight 😀
If this is the Fox network, then who runs the Spike Network?
Is HBO run by Hobos who can’t spell?
Or even better, TNT! You don’t even need people to host that, just something extremely flammable.
(….I just invented Larisa’s favorite TV network….)
Am I the only one who feels like the last panel is a BIG LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT?
No, no it’s FOX news, they’d claim that the foxes are actually helping the squirrels with their terrorist efforts.
HAHA! FAIR AND BALANCED (For Fox Rights Group, Dumb Fox, Stupid Americans and Tea Party only). Should be named Faux News (We Double think u).
In Soviet Russia, U get double think.
P.S- no wonder Sid still exists after 9/11.
P.P.S- When Sid’s mother came here (like after 9/11)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! I don’t even know what the comic is about, I had to burst out laughing at the third panel. (Reread) Why are they wearing clothing that’s too big for them X3.?No matter how may times I may see this, I will always laugh!
And to continue my no-fun-at-all role, this story is unfortunately accurate as an allegory of how our current ineffective underfunded inspection system fails to stop invasive exotic species from entering this country.
… what, no Glen “Bark” to comment?
Funny update
that is the fastest squirriel I ever seen.
I’m a Fox News regular and I like it! 😀 Of course I’m used to it. I just love the expression of the one saying, “ABSOLUTELY!”.
Did you choose ‘Fox News’ because of the pun that would be made? Since, Fox news does have the same name as a.. well… fox.
@gamerjoel135 – The only thing I can think of is either the hedgehog or the porcupine. As for a pun for ‘Viacom’, I have absolutely no clue.
and everyone wonders why i get all of my news from cnbc…
btw…as far as hunters being a threat to national security, well all i can say is we’ll have to be vewy, vewy qwyut on this one!
Dude, I totally believe that this is what goes down at Fox News.
Well, hunter is a problem, at least now it’s wabbit season.
And the award for Incredibly Lame Pun Of The Week goes to…
Oh my, Fox News! Minds have been blown XD
Do they also own the rights for pretty much anything?
(looks like they own at least a lot of stupidity…)
Do they also make that much mistakes and claim that they don’t?
@ Skyler Martin:
No, you’re not the only one ^^
In case this is never mentioned again in this Webcomic it will be a big lipped alligator.
And you know what? I think it’s brilliant 😀
Siiiiiigh. I loved the ‘Fox’ News joke, but at the same time, had a sense of dread, knowing that I was about to stumble on a bunch of ‘Fox Sucks’ comments. Probably wouldn’t have commented on it just for that, though. I know Fox is biased as all get-out, I’m just tired of hearing about it all the time. But, seriously? Comments like, ‘And that’s why I only watch so-and-so news’?
There is… no such thing as unbiased media. Getting your facts from -any- singular source is a bad idea. Since CBS was brought up as someone’s singular news source pretty early on, they’ll serve as a good example. Most distinctly in my mind, former CBS anchor Dan Rather, who was constantly accused of bias, perhaps most famously in the ‘Killian document controversy’, on George W.’s military career. Some people still claim that there’s no evidence that those documents were forged, but some of the experts they cited directly contradicted their claims, so… yeah. No proof Mr. Rather intentionally ran a false story – the most accepted theory on that controversy is that he didn’t fact check carefully enough, simply because of his own personal beliefs.
That’s the thing – news is run by -people-, and all people have their own beliefs. It’s impossible not to have a personal bend of some kind when dealing with people. You can berate any one station for its bias, but so long as you’re only relying on a single station, you’re relying on a single bend. Fox is biased, yes. CBS is biased. NBC is biased, ABC is biased. BBC is biased. The New York Times and the Dallas Morning News are biased. When you take -all- of the biased sources, and weed out what they agree on, you’ll be closer to the truth than you’ll ever get listening to just one or two sources. Fox is biased, yes. But bias is an inescapable problem. Labeling them as the ‘holy crap biased’ source and going to others is an easy way out, but it doesn’t solve anything, or make you more properly informed. Until you start using others as somehow ‘better’ sources, and looking for the fact in all sources, you’ll only ever find bias.
Well. I went on way too long. Hope there’s no cutoff point or anything. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read my say, and sorry to both you and the people who had to just scroll past. Not trying to start a debate, and won’t really be saying any more on the subject, so I’ll be closing it off at that, far as I’m concerned. Ciao.
Hm… looking at the last panel, I don’t get the joke. All I see are three regular people discussing important issues on TV. Say…..wait a minute, something doesn’t look right about these guys now that I look closely………why is the one in the middle wearing his glasses over his hat????? He must have terrible vision, indeed!
the moustache fox and the wig fox are the KYOOTEST things I’ve seen this month <3
Hehe okay that’s a funny concept. XD What I don’ get is, does this show run for everyone or only for woodland creatures(don’ ask how, that’s not my part to answer XD)?
@ Random: Foxes are quite small; about half the size of a Labrador. If you put a human-sized shirt on a fox, that’s really what it would look like
@ gaboris: I’d say this is one of those “last pannel isn’t canon” moment
@ Marvelous TK:
THANK YOU.
Kind of funny all the same. I didn’t realize they were at an American airport this whole time until now- I thought they were sniffed in France (how they got through the baggage x-ray with the squirrel we may never know).
@ Marvelous TK:
You are sure speaking the truth.
Of course you can’t say “This is best”. That’s never possible, no matter what it is.
(Maybe I just don’t like that “best pizza of the world”)
CNN and the like are also biased just like Fox News and all other news.
But there is one thing about Fox News…
Or lets say it in another way:
Marvelous TK wrote:
Yes that’s true, but there is a difference between having an opinion and beeing just plain stupid.
For example: If I would believe Fox News I’d believe that I live in the Iraq, which I don’t.
Why? because their map said so in a report about the Czech Republic.
(can’t remember the exact report, but I still have the picture of the map with Germany as the Iraq)
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I don’t even want to start that…no really, I don’t.
And that is the reason why many people here are complaining about Fox News and I can’t take that amiss.
Of course it’s not like they would be the only ones making sensless reports from time to time.
I’ve also seen stupid things on other news. Like a CNN report that says:
“Experts agree: Al Qaeda leader is dead or alive” … no comment.
But Fox News is defenitly the winner in terms of really stupid things and simply doing bad or even no research at all.
I always get my information from as many different sources as possible. That’s also why I don’t believe everything from the news. I inform myself and make my own thoughts.
But “Faux News” is a source you should skip completely. It’s just not worth the time.

Satiric art only works when make fun of something not funny.
I mean Monty Python laugh at world war II (the killing joke) what was not funny at all, while most sadly true more funny is the joke
@ Someone:
It would be nice if there were more conservative news stations to compare to liberal ones in order to help weed out political bias. However, I only know of Fox News for that
@ Icalasari:
Or Moderate and Have quality of information, leisure to digest it and carry out the rights made by first 2. (Quote from Fahrenheit 451.)
You a tea party?
@ Marvelous TK:
Meh some people just do that for humor i mean SOME people think thats funny….i only said that cause i was making a lame pun and yes all news networks are Bias…..ANYWAY back on topic Ive just been wondering (And im pretty sure that ill have to stay tuned) Anyone think HOW THE HECK those foxes got in? I mean what did they shoove the REAL guys in a locker or something? The world may never know….
It took me a while to understand that the last panel was supposed to be of a news show. In almost every other strip where they’ve done this, the artist curved the corners to make the panel TV shaped.
Don’t get me wrong, the joke was great. I’m just trying to be slightly helpful.
I know I should have seen that coming, yet I’m just here bursting with laughter.
How do you do this?
Ge rardo, I find Python humor easy to understand, while I’m still working on figuring out where the humor in this storyline is aimed. Maybe it’s too early in the story and/or maybe it’s too subtle for me..
@ Anne:
I’m not so sure that this is storyline is meant to be “OMG that’s funny!!!1” humorous. Mostly, it’s Sid’s backstory, which happens to be a little funny, in an awkward, “that really sucks to be her” way. I dunno.
Tchh i bet the next headlines gonna be “mouse traps A hoax? Foxes for the future?” yup but the thing i love the most about these comics is its got its own sense of humor..yah it makes movie references but how many of you DONT have a pet or DONT look up on wikipedia for help during dating Or even adventured through an abonedend Warehouse? (Okay maybe most of you) But the thing is this is if i had to name it “Life humor” Some of these things happen to most people. we can RELATE to it. THATS why its so funny.
@ Marvelous TK:
Personally, I get my news from various news-sites on the web, and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I’ll sit down and watch Fox occasionally with my dad, partially ‘cuz that is how he relaxes from working at the Railyard all day covering because they have yet to hire a new Supervisor, partially ‘cuz I enjoy teasing him about it.
@ Frank:
Of course it’s cannon. That last pannel is obviously a quickly put together ad to warn people about the dangers of terror squirrels as reported by the airport security, obviously hyping the want for more predators so that the terror squirrels are hunted down. American media response to a kid’s joke.
Frank wrote:
Awwww dang it, would’ve been so fun. 🙁
But still funny. XD
Far be it from me to break the trend to discuss Fox News instead of the strip . . . Fox News is an oxymoron. It’s also inaccurate–New Fascist News is more the truth. Lastly, it’s one thing to be a conservative or a liberal or whatever; but in any political ideology or belief there comes a point when it goes past being different and becomes simply dumb. Two examples= one that if “Obamacare’ was passed it would mean “death camps for the elderly.” Two, that “crosses were being burned in Prince George [Canada] even as we speak!.” Dumb is dumb, period; no matter how insistent people and programs may be and are, ridiculous assertions are ridiculous assertions.
This is just too perfect for this strip:

@ Skyler Martin:
They’re probably going somewhere with it in the next comic.
Is the one with the moustache supposed to be Geraldo Rivera? Because he automatically makes everything more ridiculous.
That fox in the floppy hat with the stache…it reminds me of something from a Disney movie/show. I wanna say either Br’er Rabbit or Pinocchio…

Tch not just diseny movies theres, Fantastic fox or Open season the list goes on and on and on yeah! ghostkeeper wrote:
Say waaaa? What does “Obama” have to do with death camps?
@ Thaw:
Ok what 911,America,U, and i thought it was, P.S.S Meaning post script script? im confused…..
@ Greek:
I don’t remember a fox in ‘Open Season.” Where did I miss that one??
@ Iron Ed:
No but in open season 3 someone dressed up as a woman with a poodle. remeber? the scene when the guard guy said, “i bet your just a bear with a porcupine on your head!” to the real lady? i didnt say it HAD to be foxes just an animal dressing up as a person shouldve been more clear…
@ Random:
Because they don’t make fox-sized clothes.
@ Greek:
Ah! Gotcha… I remember now. ‘Open Season 2’ though; I don’t think 3 is out yet. Or is it? I’ve only seen just enough of a teaser to know they’re working on a 3rd. 🙂 🙂 🙂
@ dzamie:
@ Frank:
Sorry if I sounded stupid, I thought that if foxes were to wear clothes, it would be fox-sized clothes that they (the foxes) made themselves. It’s still funny.
Poor Hazel. I can’t wait how this turns out… although it’s pretty clear by now how Sid got to the US.
