The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
Update (31 March 2011): I changed the dialog of Cloud and Larisa in the last panel since I was unhappy with the previous version.
Have you already read the blog post about our Sandra and Woo fanart contest? The winner will receive $100, and the four runner-ups will receive another $100!
- Sandra: WOO!
- Sandra: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
- Cloud: Sandra, wait for us!
- Larisa: Do you see where he’s flying to?

Just read the entire series. Love it. My friend once had a pet raccoon.
@ Greenwood Goat:
I was noting similar. Another thing about predatory birds is their tendency to make surprise strikes. They tend to pounce in mid-air. The blow is indended to disable the prey before they even knew what happened, when given the chance. No struggle. Easier flight and…the rest.
In normal Nature, this would be a truly dire situation. Behind the shoulders is a very vulnerable control point. Yet, Woo would seem to be completely unharmed. Given some past panels, I actually expect a search and rescue event, here. Besides, unarmed ground dwellers have no real chance of countering a creature of the air.
Anyone notice the coming of the hawk in previous day’s panels? Very cleaver use of clues that aren’t obvious and a plot ploy I have intentions of using in my own writings.
…Sandra and Sid…doesn’t have the same ring to it, though…just fooling. That’s being too mean.
I think the transcription still have the original text
wait a minute! I’m 100% sure that when I typed my last comment a second ago, the the text in the comic didn’t match the one at the transcription (with cloud saying sandra, wait, and larissa saying don’t leave me alone!… i think” now it matchs?
As still mentioned on the German site, both versions of this strip differ very much this time. Cloud and Larissa are more intended to stay as told them. Is this difference intended?
Last panel German version translates to English:
Cloud: “Sandra wait!”
Larissa: “Hey, don’t leave me alone!”
As Greenwood Goat pointed out, if Woo was on the menu those claws would have done some critical damage on the gram and the beak would have done a coup-de-grace once airborne.
Mind you the Eagles look is very stern and serious. I surmise that it is not exactly a party animal.
THIS is why my friends in the North country do not let their Yorkie out during certain hours. Eagles actually prefer fish btw.
I loled at the Eagle’s face in the last panel! 😀
I’ve had nightmares of this happening to my rats. I’m constantly watching the sky for hawks when I take them outside.
Wouldn’t it be better if Larisa says:
“Do you see where it‘s flying to?”
This would seem more accurate since it is (obviously) not Woo who is flying.
Therefor Larisa would rather refer to the unknown eagle.

Are you seriously suggesting that you think random sticks are anywhere near elastic enough to make a useful bow out of?
