The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
- Woo: [a detailed explanation of the situation]
- Blacky: Wow, what a story. Maybe I can help you find Sandra and her friends.
- Woo: You can?
- Blacky: If they’ve gone looking for you, they’ll probably walk through the Valley of the Violets. You can wait for them there.
- Woo: Cool, thanks!
- Blacky: But there’s another thing you need to know!
- Blacky: There’s a nasty hunter hanging around in this area. I’m just passing through it to visit my oldest daughter on the other side of the hills.
- Woo: Oh dear.
[A detailed comment on today’s comic]
Valley of the Violets? Isn’t that the same valley that Cloud described as “a descent full of pricky shrubs and poison ivy, with a pack of fierce wolves, and a 30 meter high steep face at the other end”?

I do think the same thing..maybe it is…since this comic has some FF references…like…huh…Cloud????
Love this comic, and this story arc seems like a very good and risky adventure.
Good work keep going at it.
Fan from México =)
Why does blacky remind me of hobbes?
Blackie’s obviously presuming Sandra and co are average humans and as such would try going in a straight line. He’s not counted on Cloud being, well, Cloud.
Oh man, that’s one of the funnier ways I’ve seen to get around tedious, plot-required recaps. Nicely done!
Hmmm…Valley of the Violets, isn’t that the same valley that Cloud suggested they didn’t go through. Well, look on the bright side, uh, er….I’ll get back to you with a bright side.
@ MegaTJ:
Don’t. “On the bright side” was the whole thing that got them into this mess :p
Poor Blackie should not be in the woods with that hunter around. Maybe one of the kids will adopt him too. He seems to know about being a pet….
Oldest Daughter + Woo?
Can’t be a good outlook for him.
I have to learn that trick. It would make life much easier if I could compress hours of chatter into one sentence.
@Novil
That begs to question, does Woo have any kids??? He was successful during last mating season you know. I can just see Lily hitting Woo up for child support payments!
@ Katana:
[A witty response to your comment]
@ ninja: Because of the blank oval eyes.
Hey another anime expression in the third panel 🙂 (If those kind of expressions are not solely in anime, I apologize. It’s that I seen them most in anime.)
Nice, Either cloud is wrong or right. Anyways, I voted for Sandra and Woo
“[A detailed explanation of…]”
I’ll have to remember that one. Though, not at the moment. It’s too important that Teela have a lengthy conversation with her mother during their final moments before saying good bye, forever.
weres the newest one 🙁

Cloud is just that awsome. Possibly even more than that.
I don’t think I trust a raccoon’s impartiality when it comes to declaring the hunter “nasty”, although it likely means he is fairly active, which doesn’t bode well for our hero.
I am sensing an adventure.
