The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
- Lumberjack: HA HA! You’ve watched too many kung fu movies, you little brat!
- Larisa: Oh boy, a special attack! That’s going to be epic!
- Lumberjack: WAAH!
- Larisa: Somehow, I’m disappointed.
- Cloud: “Never show your full potential unless it’s absolutely necessary.” Another important teaching of Master Ye Thuza.

Oh dear … that lumberjack is going to be sooo p*ssed at the kids when he recovers …
…Where is Sandra?
Cloud’s super attack is really ultimate! ^^ loooool!
Why has my comment recieved 8 thumbs down? Because I pointed out that the kids are acting like jerks to the guy who is trying to help the obviously lost children out of the dangerous lumber harvesting area?
@ Nick/Tyrong:
Two things that may have contributed to their less than accepting votes.
1 – The lumberjack wasn’t exactly being “protective” or “understanding” in his attack.
2 – Contradictory views without diplomacy gets beat on.
Also please not there has not been once sign of active logging going on up to this point. Just the presence of the lumberjack and a hunter who was also roaming free in the area.
That is a thought – if the area is so “dangerous” then why is the hunter allowed to roam freely in the area? Hunting is banned in any active logging zone for safety considerations for both parties.
Hunter say Hi to next weeks wood flooring.
Lumberjack say Hi to 22 cal long.
When I first saw it I was like, “Oh mai gawd maybe he’l, like, do an awesome drop-kick or jackslap him or something even more awesome”
then I saw like, “…You let me down, Cloud. Let me down baaaad…”
Wow, Cloud kicked the plaid out of the lumberjack’s shirt.
He’s a lumberjack and it’s okay he works all night an drinks all day.
Never confront children without proper body armor.
Remember, at that age, they’re officially aligned “Neutral Evil”.

A good old kick in the nuts is always surprising. And painful. And it doesn´t require you to have been raised up as a badass RPG warrior.

Told ya…
@ NULLcHiLD:
And the pupils from his eyes!
TIMBEEEERRR!!!!!
I don’t think Ye Thuza would be disappointed. This shows Cloud has learned to hide his prowess, as she instructed. Also shows he knows to strike at the enemy’s weak points for a quick victory. Proving size doesn’t need to mean clear victory. Plus, he was a jerk. Picking on people isn’t cool.
I’m with Larissa. Somehow that was a little disappointing.
@ Thrudd:
I never thought of that, in regards the the hunter. Likely the author never considered it either. Myself, I just assumed the logging was going on in the background. Or they were on break, what with a hunter running around, or something. Still, the kids are being really mean to someone who is actually trying to help. Even if they don;t realise that (Kids can be really dumb) I still say poor guy.

Actually now that I think about it I’m more interested in whether or not the contents of the lumberjacks wallet sprang out at Cloud like it did for a certain bat.
@ Nick/Tyrong:
I prefer to think of children as unsophisticated and easily manipulated rather than dumb. Of course, if they grow up in an environment where manipulation is a constant thing they develop skills to counter and ignore the constant barrage. Feeding the manipulator their own BS works for children because the manipulator believes they have made their/your choices for them/you. Whether you take action or not is irellivent because if the manipulator is arrogant enough all actions are the result of their influence. Which is why I think people need to know the difference between facts and opinions. Also, this isn’t the same concept as being forever changed by every interaction with someone else. Everyone you encounter changes the way you see yourself and others. One person does not have to be manipulated to change their view of the world by meeting or encountering someone else. People always have choices and options, you just aren’t aware of them as children because you are tricked into believing you have no control or power over the world around you. However, if the world around you is a nightmare you need to step up you game. And, Ultimately, that’s all reality is, a really stupid game you can win by making your own rules, taking no action at all, or rejecting the tribe. Because, Not everyone is trained to ask the right questions or accept new rules, but everyone is eventually conditioned not to think and just do. Even “Super 8” maintains the Status Quo, and it’s the most original film I’ve seen that was made within the last decade.
@ Gabrielsthoughts:
Um…. I think they’re just brats in that strip, hurting a guy trying to help them.
@ Nitron X:
this is the same secret attack my mom taught me in elimentary school. >:(
Boot to the cool.
@ Jessica:
Considering the way I was taught to fight.. yeah it’s a personal favorite.
Testicle Attack # 49!

Cloud gains OVER 9000 EXP. Cloud leveled up!
Heh. Heheheh. I got this totally wrong… I was expecting a Kakashi-style ass-poke… Although this is probably a little more brutal and amusing ^^
@ Gargoyle-Cat: Lumberjack defeated
Exp gain: 10000
Cloud Levels up
Larissa Levels up
I have done that before. Thirteen years of martial arts training and nothing works quite as well as a firm kick to the nuts.
not cool bro not cool 🙁
Middle panel has me lmao!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it’s probably the fastest, easiest way to disable someone if you catch them by surprise. If you don’t, of course, it’s pretty easy to block, much to the chagrin of anyone who ever turned down hand-to-hand training on the basis of “Eh, why waste time on fancy stuff when I can just kick them in the fruitbasket?” (and yes, I’ve heard that before)
Cloud used Low Blow!
It’s super effective!
(I know it’s late)
Or as a famous dragon once said,
“never play an ace when a deuce will do”
I appreciated that the poor guy’s “WAAH” was shattered along with his jewelry. That must have been a powerful as well as a well-placed kick.
uncool dude uncool
Still my favourite story arc, well worth being read several times
