The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
- Woo: What… what happened to your nose?
- Copper: A weird stone fell from the sky and hit me.
- Woo: I know who threw that “stone”.
- Copper: You do?!
- Roq: Don’t believe a word, stupid! It’s a trick!
- Copper: Let him talk, Roq. With that leg he won’t even make it to the next tree–
- Roq: Raccoons are dishonest and deceitful beings. The faster you kill them, the better!
- Woo: A friend of my human threw it. And they’re close by! Better shove off before they show up!

Also, it’s been made very clear in the past that Novil sees them as talking animals, not people shaped like animals. A beta wolf giving the alpha that kind of backtalk comes over as pretty stupid; most animals won’t push an alpha hard enough to incite violence unless they really mean it, which Copper clearly doesn’t.

but he is little honest, i mean think in alpha’s pov, i wont like my little brother being near a dishonest misguiding person, i would rather try to keep him away as possible so he can stay safe, course he needed to be rough about it since wolf never listen to polite talk or thimg would be simple.
