[0284] Lies And Truths

The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
- Woo: They’re looking for me. And they’re armed! If you lay a paw on me, they’ll kill you all!
- Roq: HA! LIES!
- Dawn: … Humans!
- Copper: The raccoon’s telling the truth!
- Roq: Just a bunch o’ kids.
- Copper: How does that matter!? Humans are always trouble. Let’s go!
- Roq: NO! I, Roq, won’t let some kids take away my food!
- Cloud: There’s a small pack of wolves… and a raccoon!
- Sandra: WOO!
It seems that Woo is in deep. Very deep.
aw. there goes my “hunter saves woo” theory… oh well, i’d still like to see how the close call with woo’s secret plays out.
Armed? You mean Cloud’s stick, Larissa’s lighter, and Sandra’s… er… rock, I guess.
That 1st panel is just awesome!
yeah…”just a bunch o’ kids”……..and the boy is the weak one…go for it Roq…attack the boy…he’s weak..I know it….trust me!!!
Now, if only they had some rolled up news papers.
Okay, so cloud kicked a lumberjacks butt, now it’s a pack of wolves! Great… Prepare to die, Roq!
This shall be fun. Let’s see Cloud at full power!

Don’t you know? Cloud doesn’t need a stick!Frank Dixon wrote:
Yes, I want it as a poster!
This should be interesting. Just how much damage can Cloud do to a pack of wolves? Guess we’ll find out.
Now now Roq, you forgot the human advice regarding war and fights:
Ensure that you’re close to know your allies, but know the enemies closer.
It appears that Copper is the smart one of this bunch. I suspect our three “kids” aren’t the only humans in the immediate area.
Time for another of Master Ye Thuza’s ten special attacks to cause surprisingly painful pain!
Also, love how Roq’s ear twitches in panel 4
Canter angles and silhouettes? When did “Sandra and Woo” become a German expressionist film?
Oh, it’s ON!
They know the smell of kids because…
A) To a wolf the wet human hair of children smells worse than the hair of a wet dog, or the regurgitated hair of the dog.
B) Wolves can smell puberty.
C) As a group Sandra and Company smell of sugar, spice, and feedy mice.
D) They wolves eat children on a regular basis and they are especially fond of scouts.
Something tells me Cloud’s going home with a wolfskin coat…
What a second! Weren’t Sandra, Cloud, and Larisa far off in a different part of the forest, far from the Valley of Violets? How did they get there so quickly?
Going off topic, WHERE IS FLINT?!?
Was he to appear in this story or will he have one of his own? It drives me CRazY, even though he was only briefly mentioned before by Shadow. There is probably a reason for Ol’ Flint not coming to the rescue, but it would have been AWESOME!!
Great job on the comic story thus far and I hope more stories are as enjoyable, funny, and attention grabbing as this one.
@ Gabrielsthoughts:
Actually, coming from a scout, the 10th point of our 12-point Law is BRAVE, so we’re not afraid of wolves.
@ Draccoon:
Plus, the 11th point is CLEAN, so they couldn’t smell us.
One would hope that wolves are worth more money and XP than bats.
Powree is the overlord of contrast. If Sandra & Woo’s regular standard was colour strips it would lose so very, very much.
You;re calling cloud weak? Oh boy, you’ll soon learn a very painful lesson, Roq.
That’s actually a pretty small pack… I’m guessing Roq and Dawn are mates, and Copper is either their pup, or a sibling. In any case, wolves are usually terrified of humans. No doubt it’s all the years of gassing their dens and shooting them on sight…
Well, I at least hope no one gets hurt in the coming conflict.
First panel silhouette wolves are killer good. Give your artist a raise.
It wont be Cloud to save the day it will be Sandra i tell you! She will throw a rock into Roq’s head so hard it will kill him 😛
Good eyes. Both sides have a pretty complete picture of the situation. Wonder if someone’s about to be injured…
@ Wolfen:
i think copper is a beta and roq and dawn are alphas(hence why dawn isn’t scared of roq) odds are there is no relation between copper and roq(guessing due to the difference in pattern) its just the usual wolf role of dominant alphas sub betas(or to put it simply the strong lead the weaker members like they are on a leash)
I, Roq, will knock you all down!!!
Time for a limit break!!!
Boy, is he going to regret this!
@ Draccoon:
They would smell the soap. But most wolves would run away from humans otherwise there wouldn’t be any left.
Wolves (like dogs) recognize weapons if cloud picks up a big stick or branch it will intimidate them to a degree and they may back down. Tossing so food behind them may work also as a peace offering.
Wild WOLVES appeared!
Go, WOO!
WOO used BEAT UP!
It was super effective!
WIld WOLVES fainted!
For those who don’t play Pokemon: Beat Up does damage based on the attack of each team member
So base on rpgs is a swordsman(Cloud), a fire mage(Larissa), and healer(Sandra, I never seen her attack) party vs. a pack of wolves, where the leader is not backing down.
Could this the battle of Epic Scale? Tune next week to find out.
@ Icalasari:
But Woo is still alone, so it wouldn’t work…
just an interesting fact: there have been over 50 recorded cases of wolves bringing up abandoned children. And what i think is also pretty cool: those kids can actualy “speak” to those wolves, especialy in body movements.
Personaly I love this comic. Sandra and Woo helped me through german class!
I smell an ass-kicking! 8D
Question (non-obvious) when will we get a Power Rangers parody?

I wasn’t aware we needed one, but what the heck! Sounds good to me! 🙂

Roq is kind of evil (or a major jerk at least), so he sort of calls for it. I’m hoping Dawn will be okay, and Copper doesn’t deserve to be hurt more than Roq. Roq is the main villain here, and he already attacked Copper. It’s Roq’s turn.

Hey jmillart. First off, wrong comic. Second, copy/paste? Just one thing, I hang around here and I recognize that comment. I’m not stupid.
@ jackattack: Maybe it was a long german class 😉
@ Gabrielsthoughts: I vote B) Wolves can smell puberty.
A friend of mine has a dog that is normally very friendly, unless he sees a child. At that point, the dog becomes very nervous, almost hysterical, and doesn’t want to stay in the same general area as the child. I guess that it has had bad experiences with small humans before, but I found it fascinating that in his dog way, he decided that large humans are not a threat, but small ones are.
… O_o you just really can’t trust racoons can you? (I mean by both of them)
In real life terms: DO not go there, those wolfs will eat you all painfully.
In final fantasy terms: Do not go there, cloud and your party is not leveled and equipted enoght to defeat 3 wolfs.
However you look on it, situation is bad.
I think larissa will use a Lighter to scare the wolves with fire!!….I do think it’s possible
Considering Who is Cloud and how he was trained… I’d be more worried about the wolves than for the kids… hahaha
What the fuck is with people copying other’s posts? Knock it off. It doesn’t make you cool and it’s hardly funny.
