The current story arc started with this strip: A New Adventure.
I think it’s important to show once in a while that Ye Thuza is training hard to be able to do the stunts she does.
- Ye Thuza: How was the trip?
- Cloud: It was a big adventure!
- Ye Thuza: Really?! Tell me everything!
- Cloud: Alright.
- Caption: 10 minutes later
- Ye Thuza: And in the end?
- Cloud: And in the end I kissed the girl. Twice.
- Ye Thuza: Junior, you’re a frigging man! || What do you think about a jumbo sundae at Luigi’s as a little reward?!
- Cloud: Yay!

@ Nick/Tyrong:
lol
i think i like his mom… she’s, like, the best mom ever… XD
junior, does that mean his fathers name is also cloud?
good question
Wait, there going to Luigi’s, as in Luigi from The Simpson’s?!?
….My brain just collapsed.
@ Jim:
Dude, I think everyone envies Cloud’s dad. 🙂
I just noticed, in the thrid panel it looks like Cloud is carrying luandry

what did you mean by that last part?
@ IndigoRei:
Buddy parenting has its bonuses but I wouldn’t advocate using that only.
Can I has sundae, too? I didn’t kiss the girl but I was on the adventure!
I wonder why food places are always luigi’s in comics…
But it’s usually a pizza place so I suppose your thinking outside the box… A little… Maybe… XD
@ carcinoGeneticist:
yeah i see what you mean clouds just high on life at this point i dont think hed care if ye thuza was making fun of him or not because no matter what she says he still got some kissing done like the mack daddy he is
When I saw Ye Thuza training so hard, she kind of remind me of Tifa from Final Fantasy 7.
Ice Cream at Wegee’s
@ Samsonguy:
Naturally, but it will also facilitate a feeling of equal friendship later.
I is buddies with one of my parents.

Ye Thuza is… well, she is almost as cool as the VIP (note the singular) at the event where the character in question actually learned how to cheer.Axalto wrote:
somehow i can see ye thuza on the beach wearing a t-shirt saying “you can see but not touch” am i going insane or seeing another strip coming up?
I adore Cloud’s mom. How refreshing to see a strong female character who can kick ass, cook for her family, work out, have fun, play a bad-ass superhero, cook for her family, and take her son out for ice cream. The dynamic of the whole family is really well developed.
Vote this up if you tried to do Ye Thuza’s pushups and epic failed XD
Thus ends what is inarguably the longest story arc yet in this webcomic’s history, over fifty strips long.
I agree with others that Ye Thuza’s parenting is great. My mom & I had issues because of her PTSD and other stuff, and it was bad for a long time but there were things about my mom that I’ve always felt other parents would be much better if they emulated For example, while I was NEVER encouraged to hurt others or bully, I was encouraged to protect myself and others. My bullies were so awful and so much drama was happening that was interfering with my education (and the teachers would do nothing & even lie to the principal to cover their own asses for not doing anything), that my mom went to the principal and told him “She is going to defend herself and she will not be punished for doing so. When she’s coming home sobbing and covered in dirt, spit, bruises, and god knows what else, like hell will I punish her for kicking their asses. If you have to suspend her, then fine. She’ll get to eat ice cream and watch cartoons while she’s home. ” My principal back then was a GREAT man (his wife was one of my favorite teachers, who I was blessed to have for two whole years), and the two of them actually helped me through some of the worst parts of my childhood. My principal wholeheartedly agrees with my mom, and as such, whenever I defended myself or other kids, never once did I get suspended even though you’re supposed to be after a 3rd offense. I was in fights every week, and most of the time he’d make me serve half a day of in school suspension, that was it. I think if more parents treated their kids as “little people learning to be big people” as my mom puts it, and encourages true morality, kindness, and courage, instead of “look out for number one, only!” And “kids should be seen and not heard!” the world would be a much better place.
Cloud made out like a bandit, literally!
@ KillerOh:
During Cloud’s narrative, she had time to towel herself dry and straighten out her hair.
@ Manda:
Nicely put. Glad you came out of your experiences in one piece.
I wish my mom was Ye Thuza, that would be freaking awesome.
That’s Mama Luigi to you Ye Thuza !
@ Manda:
Neat story… I do get curious sometimes hearing the stories about others’ parenting ways… mostly because my situation as a kid was so severely abnormal that I can’t relate to the childhood most others experienced.
I want an awesome mom! 😮 Im living like Sandra right now-DONT SAY ANYTHING. O_O
Can’t believe I only discovered this webcomic this week in 2015. This whole thing is so fun to read. (Got here through one of your ads in Lunaescence btw).
Wish I could have gotten a sundae as a reward for my first kiss…
>.> <.<
Lucky.
Bravo, Cloud. A story to tell for years to come.
Didn’t he already get his reward? Twice?
