What’s your favorite medium for serious storytelling?
The current story arc started with this strip: a.r.t.I.
Ivan: It wasn’t me, it was my demons!
lol ivan got payback(though i suspect its going to be short-lived) though Larisa was practically asking for that to happen.(never taunt an artist if you are one they will probably mess with your painting as payback)
The skeleton is so cute ^_^
I like to think that Larisa painted the skeleton and his father added the flowers around. Just can’t believe Larisa paints flowers…
I totally dig the painting, that hanging skeleton just fits too well on this flower.
That reminds me of a song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NideH__mn0E
Actually, it reminds me of the entire series with its mix of “It’s so cute” and “what the bleep did just happen”…
I like how he drew it on the one that now looks like it is leaning down from the weight of the skeleton hanging off it. Ivan has better demons ^^
Nice job, Ivan. |3 I actually like the painting, it just looks… cool?
Y’know, these last few pictures would probably be the most successful of any of their art. They’ve got that added irony that’s fashionable nowadays!
I agree. if this keeps up they could open a father daughter exhibit.
Haha, that painting is actually so awesome right now! The skeleton fits in brilliantly.
The little skeleton couldn’t live in this flower filled world, so he hanged himself.
Poor little skeleton… May he rest in peace…
wait… Larisa with a HEART T-SHIRT????
btw, it would be nice to have the two paintings (larisa’s and ivan’s) as downloadable stuff
Thats what you get for messing up another Artists work, he ruins yours. (she deserved it)
I guess payback’s an…Ivan?
Russian revenge goes on the family
Russian revenge runs in the family
Larisa and Ivan could probably make a small fortune selling T-Shirts with their “collaborations” to the Hot Topic crowd.
let the rage out!!!
LMAO! Thats was epic!!!
On a side note, I can’t believe Larisa would paint something so happy… Looks like we’re seeing a side of her we never knew before.
I like to think that Ivan and Larissa’s new form of surrealism, the clash of genres, is the next big thing in art. Trust me, by the end of the arc, they’ll be wealthy off of this shit.
Revenge is a corpse…
Just set it aflame Larisa
We should be able to download these paintings. XD They’re awesome.
she was probably just going to make it look like the flowers were on fire in the end. or set fire to the painting.@ nightarix:
@ Lord Detrius: I’m an idiot
Larisa: “What have you done to my painting, this is madness!
Ivan: “Madness? THIS IS ART!!”
Happy 300th Issue, hope to see you at the next 300th.
And now it’s war. Pass the popcorn.
lol payback’s a bitch aint it
The thought of Larisa painting flowers at all is, well, an oxymoron. Flowers on fire on the other hand, that’s a different story.
What? A pyromaniac can’t enjoy flowers that aren’t on fire?
What is up with so many people who keep up with this concept that everything that Larisa does has to be set on fire? Do you think that she wants to set Cloud on fire as well?
I for one am enjoying seeing another side to Larisa. This storyline arc is giving the character some more depth and it’s a shame that so many people arn’t willing to accept that.
She does paint pretty flowers?
Larissa, I’ve lost all respect for you.
For this week.
You’ll get it back on monday.
Well he could have painted a “Black Hole Sun Black Hole Sun” lol.
Geeze guys, I don’t know why everyone gets so hung up on it when Larissa’s acting girly. She is a little girl, and she certainly acts like it, sometimes! She’s allowed to like flowers and ponies! She doesn’t have to like the dark and macabre just because she’s a tomboy and skulls aren’t so typically girly! She’s never come across as a goth or hot topic kinda girl to me, anyways. She really IS sort of a hippie free love flower child at heart. Except the, you know, compulsion to burn stuff!
i finally caught up… now i must wait for new comics
too bad art is gonna die…not including comics i hope
The dead corpse hanging from the lively flowers its just perfect. I would very much like to buy this painting plz XD
My favorite kind of revenge! The cute and ironic sort.
I could be mistaken, but I believe in Russia revenge is officially listed in school curriculum as a fine art.
I like Ivan. He seems like a big brother to Larisa. And he’s capable of paying back her artistic randomness in kind.
This has GOT to develop into some succesful joint venture. Beauty and macabre scenes combined. I´d hang it in my living room.
Actually, by the looks of that skeleton, I’d say ‘she’.
Lmao if it were me I’d keep it in there XD I would love to have that painting… Ooh or maybe as a wallpaper for my phone!
well that skeleton made the painting better! *ick* happiness….*blech*
booth Paintings are cool, booth would make an good avatar i think.
the art war is upon us.
i kinda dig the suiside dwarf.
Later that month, both paintings would sell at auction for more than all of Ivan’s previous work combined
This one was even funnier than the last one. The skeleton is more jarring than the sun was. But for some reason, it still fits well. So did Powree draw the “paintings” too?
Is there anything these three kids AREN”T exceedingly talented beyond their 12 years at?
Ah, tactical revenge. Must run in the family. That along with talent and having quirky demons.
