The current story arc started with this comic: Irrhetorical Question.
- Larisa: I didn’t exactly ace my last math test. Mr. Leonard’s going to call me to the blackboard tomorrow to give me a second chance. I wondered if you could possibly help me study?
- Justin: That couldn’t have come at a worse time. We’ve got an important match in North Harbordale today.
- Larisa: Ohh, okay, I understand. Totally. No problem… See ya tomorrow.

Anyone noticed how the color of the background changs from pannel to pannel? I think this is a really neat touch that shows how Larisa’s emotions change in this strip

Call to the blackboard? That never happened to me… We would have just taken a makeup.
I guess her karma is haunting her now… everyone knows Larisa doesn’t take anything seriously (except for Sandra), so Justin just acts accordingly. However, I think he might have acted differently if she used the magic words “Justin, I need your help”. That would mean she’d be indebted to him, and while there are girls who truly don’t care, Larisa seems to be the type to avoid such situations altogether.
She looks sooo sad in that last panel, i feel sorry for her.

I was talking to a friend, and she was saying how kids nowdays know more than adults and grow so fast,
I tell her that they dont, they have knowledge of all these things like sex but they really dont know. They dont know about relationships or love or parenthood or anything, they act cool but they are still have to learn, and while more knowledge they have harder is the learning.
So every time you think “kids nowdays!” or “kids shouldnt do that!”, remember that kids are just young adults, they dont really know anything (and age is not a good form of stating when someone is a “child”). If you look at the “Slut” strip in this comic you will know what I mean.
PD: someone here tell me Im a huge hypocrite cause I was dating a 14yo when I was 19, in my defense I say I was a child till 23 and she way more mature and I was in school. 2ftgo1

As for the “official” issue, math help, she can get everything she needs from Sandra. On the romantic side… very disappointing. (As far as any complaint against Justin is concerned though, he is a member of a team, and he would have to have made a commitment to the team to be ON the team. He really doesn’t have a choice.)

Actually, he first appeared in [0168] Messi(ah). He was playing with Larissa against Cloud and Sandra.
The backgrounds are always ultimate WIN. The emotion is captured in the color or texture and adds just the right environment.
In the third panel, you can see the yellow background (from the second panel) fading away to the blue of the fourth panel. AWESOME.
Okay I can’t really remember if I ever felt so sorry for poor Larisa before, but this is so sad right now and that blue background is… :’(

That last panel was a Fluttershy squeak in my mind. Except instead of a “Don’t make me go!” it was a “Don’t leave me here!” It must be pretty bad to Larisa if it made me have that thought.
