The current story arc started with this comic: Irrhetorical Question.
- Larisa: I’m together with Landon now.
- Sandra: O–kaaay.
- Larisa: He’s kinda cute and really nice. And since I’m totally out of his league, I’ll be able to twist him around my little finger.
- Sandra: You usually don’t say stuff like that when the person in question is sitting right next to you.
- Larisa: Honesty is the most important thing in a relationship.

Don’t worry, Sandra. Anybody who would seriously contemplate a relationship with Larisa is somebody who already made peace with facts like this.
(Also, I don’t think any of this counts as “cheating” if Larisa already dumped Justin off-panel… and knowing her, she wouldn’t drag her feet about it)
I decided to read this comic yesterday. One of the best decision that I made this year.
I guess Landon wouldn’t do anything against Larisa anyway because she would burn him.

Lookin’ to Landom reminds of myself, except my ex-girlfriend wasn’t a pyromaniac. And she was between 2-3 years older than Larissa (Is she at fourteens?). Everthing else was almost the same. =D

I actually like this pairing. A down to earth boy like Landon can provide some contrast to Larisa’s wild personality. I really want to see the chemistry between these two characters.
It’s also the greatest virtue. Well, I suppose that makes sense as virtues are the most important things in a relationship.
Also, I love that Sandra has a MATH OLYMPUS shirt.
Hm… I think I should wear an “I <3 mathematics" shirt. If only I had one.

The difference is that maybe Landon doesn’t mind being twisted once in a while– she likes him too (she was blushing after she kissed him) so maybe it is more of a pairing of different equals.
I discovered when I went back to my high school reunion that all the nerds are now CEOs and VPs and most are independently wealthy– and the ones that weren’t drive trucks for UPS and the like.

I missed a sentence. Larisa thinking that Landon is out of her league is common thinking that typically ends up reversing. All the guys that were “out of her league” now are VPs and CEOs and the ones that weren’t work at Wal-Mart and UPS.
Yes, honesty isn’t exactly nice. It’s often cruel and selfish when it comes to anyone else’s needs. Fortunately, someone invented lying in order to traumatize people while simultaniously making them feel better about themselves.

Larissa needs to feel in control so her statements are more to justify the relationship to herself. And Landon was the one who first approached her so he has some backbone. He just might smart enough to let her believe what she needs to. Of course this is just my opinion.

Not so sure. I mean, yes, it’ll be interesting to watch, but I’m not sure he’s going to temper anything. He’s suffering a bout of post-kiss catatonia, and whenever he gets up a logic train to dissuade Larissa from her antics, she’ll derail him with a shut-up-kiss and he’ll just stop functioning for a while.
At least that’s what I’ve seen from him so far; admittedly not much at all, but the fun part is that pretty much every strip with him will make me re-evaluate him.
This is an incredibly well drawn and well coloured comic strip. Thank you very much for putting effort into it. =)

…I’m noticing that everyone’s skipping over the part where Larisa said Landon’s ‘nice’ and ‘cute’ and going straight on the attack for the ‘I’m out of his league’ comment. This amuses me. XD It’s Larisa, people, she wouldn’t be as lovable if she wasn’t so cruel…
To be fair, at least he knows what he’s getting into.
Being on the friendship ladder and toyed around with the hardcore cruel Larisa way… Poor Landon.. don’t want to be in his shoes right now. 🙂

In some twisted way, I think her cruel honesty somehow makes it seem more forgivable…
She’s also significantly creepier than she was three comics ago, which is something of an achievement.
I like this relationship. Landon is down-to-earth, and Larisa is wild, so they’ll balance each other out

Considering this is how many people in relationships actually THINK, the fact that Larisa is honest about it makes it waaaay more forgivable if you ask me.
She can afford to be that honest about her intentions. He does not care how he got Larisa time if he got it. And she complimented him twice!
