[0339] Little Red Riding Pony

A series of pony strips was inevitable sooner or later. I watched my first episode “Fall Weather Friends” in February last year. My favorite episode is “Sonic Rainboom” which I already endorsed in my post on 28 March 2011. Although Rainbow Dash has some of the best moments in the series, my favorite pony is Fluttershy, shortly in front of Twilight Sparkle. I really wish there were My Little Pony action figures of the same quality as my Wallace & Gromit or even my Princess Mononoke action figures. Powree is, of course, also a pony fan.
- Little Red Riding Pony: Oh, Princess Celestia, why aren’t you wearing the royal tiara?
- Little Red Riding Pony: … And oh, Princess Celestia, why is your horn so short?
- Little Red Riding Pony: … And oh, Princess Celestia, why are your fur and feathers pink??
- Princess Celestia: All this is because the pinheads at Hasbro don’t understand that all pony fans over the age of 10 want lifelike action figures of their heroes instead of cheap plastic toys.

I don’t even watch FIM that much but the first thing I saw when I saw the commercials for the new toy was “why isn’t she the correct colouring?”

FLUTTERSHY! Woo! She’s my favorite too; I actually only just started watching the episodes on youtube a few weeks ago; I watch with my Netherlands friend using Livestream. Anyone else think the Parasprites were the cutest things ever?

Yeah, I remember last fall when I was (stupidly) thinking “Well, if Hasbro is making both the cartoon and the toys, at least we can count on the toys being accurate”
~yay~ In the process of re-watching the entire MLP:FiM series or at least what’s out yet. And after episode 8 I decided to take a break to read up on some of the online comics I follow.

I won’t complain. It’s the artists choice what she or he does with her or his creations. If you want to make MLP:FiM related comics then I welcome them. Don’t let the parasprites talk you away from doing as you desire.

the show is made for the toys. the toys are not made for the show.
this shows how out of the loop i am as i wasn’t aware hasbro was still in business. back when i was in my early elementary school years, i had several toys made by hasbro (when they called themselves Hassenfield Brothers), mostly cap pistols patterned after ones carried by old western tv show characters like roy rogers.

Oh well. I knew I would have to pick a side eventually; it’s impossible to use the internet without joining one side or the other. But I won’t pick yet! I’m holding out as long as possible, because I don’t break my own promises that easily. Feel free to convince me one way or the other, though. Just don’t fill up the comments page.

A friend of mine got me the pony toys of Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinky Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight Sparkle, and upon seeing them, I had the urge to correct ALL of the inaccuracies I immediately saw, mostly with the main and tail. Pinky Pie has straight hair, while fluttershy’s is kinda curly. Twi doesn’t have any bangs. The list goes on. Now I’m worried my parents are going to catch me alone in my room playing with ponies. I just…. can’t help needing to fix them!
I think, to be fair, we all like them.
