“Gangsta rapper 50 Cent and his trusty sidekick Justin Bieber” came to my mind when thinking about new strip ideas. The rest of the comic practically wrote itself.
I don’t like 50 Cent’s and Bieber’s music, but one has to acknowledge that they’ve never done something as awe-inspiring bad as the new Metallica album.

While it’s somewhat amusing to see ponies in S&W, I honestly don’t see the joke. Is there supposed to be a joke here? Or just random pop culture references? I don’t get it.

In other words, the whole “50 Cent sucks and Justin Bieber sucks” thing stopped being funny at least one year ago. It’s too over-done. Moreover, it makes S&W less timeless by referencing current events that will not be at all “current” years down the road.

Aw, come on, be nice to Justin. His music really isn’t bad. Granted, most of it isn’t to my preference, but there’s at least one that I don’t mind listening to.
As for 50-cent, I don’t know anything about his music, but I do know he’s fighting world hunger in his own way, with those Street-King energy drinks. Hard to find them, so I haven’t managed to try one yet.
If they don’t like 50 and Justin, why do they have toys of them? o-O Just curious, not trying to be a jerk.
Eh this comic is sort of wrong, while people like Justin Beiber and any similar artist might be ”bad music” no one should make fun of it, let alone criticize.
Imagine this :
Let’s say that you love ”Stairway to Heaven” and you just love it, it’s the song that cheers you up, it’s the song that you will always love and like, let’s also say that you get to see it live, I am sure it would be quite an experience… and a memory you will treasure forever…
If any person, enjoys Justin Beiber the EXACT SAME WAY you liked Stairway to Heaven (or any son of Led Zeppelin really) do you really have the right to criticize them? This kind of stuff serves of no use, we all should just learn tolerance.
Also, before anyone gets offended, I did not COMPARED the previous 2 artists, it was an example.
Just listen what you want, and respect others choice of music, just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it sucks. 😛

There were some…. cd’s out there, from some guys, with a very similar name, who were… uhhh…. not bad for a beginner band.. They’re called “Load”, “Reload”, “St anger” and “Death Magnetic”.
Not bad for a starting band. But that’s not metallica…..

Look at the manes, these are based of the solid plastic toys (AJ’s pony tail is on both sides of her head and pinkies hair covers one of her eyes) Rarity on the other hand doesn’t have a toy like that I don’t think.
