The psychologist actually asked what lesson it was Larisa learned. Somehow I’m a bit surprised she was that thorough. I guess Larisa gets sent here frequently enough that the psychologist knows what she’s dealing with.

Actually, Larissa is on point. It’s the school therapist/counsellor/whatever who’s dumb.
“Harmless pirate or ninja.” Pirates aren’t harmless. Pirates were, and are, dangerous people. As for ninjas, there’s no evidence to suggest they didn’t even really exist, but if so, they were armed, dangerous people.
Larissa is pretending to be something dangerous for Halloween. How dare she.
I am wondering exactly where she got that idea. And why she would end up in the office for dressing up as a pedophile if it’s part of the spirit of Halloween. I mean, it’s not like she dressed up as Hitler and actually looked like him or anything.

@Carlos : I think it comes down to a few hundred years of separation in danger. I don’t think if she had dressed as a modern day Somali based pirate it’d be a “harmless” pirate. Although personally I think her choice was wonderful if a bit touched artistic expression drawing attention to a serious issue and one that her classmates should be aware of. Perhaps next Halloween she could dress as Mary Phagan.

Dunno – when I’m dressed in formal (Dress Ross or Black Watch,) I do indeed have a REAL claymore (very large sword) in a baldric on my back, and a REAL /sgean/ /dhu/ in my right sock (and several other items you DON’T see…)
And yes, I do know how to work with them. I’ve been asked at formal events to give demonstrations of sword-handling, so I ask for a twenty-foot circle (minimum) to do so.
