Eh I don’t think so. I mean you don’t see doves who lives on the church rooftop get precision lightning strikes right? Maybe Lily decided to take a dump afterward….

Animals are always paranoid. That’s their nature. Wild animals like wild cats sleep with their ears perked up. A bit of rustle and they will be wide awake and running away.

Actually it’s originated from a young TV presenter who start muttering words after someone was screwing up the teleprompter machine. He start adding his own words including his famous “Boom goes the dynamite” and whispering “I’m so sorry.”

Is it Monday yet?
How about now?
Now?
COME ON TIME, YOU CAN GO FASTER THAN THAT!
Boy, that escalated quickly.
@ CDRom11:
Why doesn’t lightening strike the same place twice?
Because after the first strike, it’s not the same place anymore.

“That was incredible, Woo! How did you know the lightning would strike this tree?”
“Oh, it wasn’t anything that special, Lily. In the first place, your tree is on a hill, which raises it up close to the clouds. And in the second place it’s an elm, and the elms around here are known for growing especially tall. Oh, and the last time I was here I noticed that there was a sign on it that said ‘Tallest tree for miles.'”
Lily: *knowing nod*
Ohh I hate these cliffhangers!
But It will be worth the wait 😉
@ JHSpencer:
good, because i don’t think figuratively thinking that would make much sense
I sure hope he does NOT lose his memory or speech, at least not for good.
Good lord, I haven’t come here in ages.
I think we’re missing the most important question here – Could a lightning bolt really send rocks and/or bark flying away like that? Or does it just scorch everything really badly? (I don’t think it can throw rocks).
Anyone else realize that Woo just saved Lily’s life? She was just sleeping under that stump!

Yes, it can. I used a reference photo for this comic.

However, the odds of it doing so at all are rather low… let alone to one particular tree in a forest.
i.e. So contrived.

Realistically, I don’t think a lightning strike would do that either. It looks more like what you’d expect from a stick of dynamite or something.
precognition is another of woo’s many skills?
BOOOOOM! Headshot!
