That’s not the last time you have seen Butterfly. She will be the star of the second longest Sandra and Woo story arc that will be published later this year.

Motivation: ME WANT COOKIE!
With enough motivation, ANYTHING is possible for woo.
In my experience, the cookie trick applies for a LOT more than just climbing…
“I can’t do this!”
Not with that kind of attitude!”
Now we know what attitude we need. Coontude!
Also, just got back from a long vacation! no internet so I need to catch up with Sandra and Woo now.
Also to Novil: do you receive the email reply I sent you?
Note to squirrels: subtract 4.5 from each rating, and replace “cookies” with “peanuts”.
Note to cats: add 2.5 to each rating. If descending from above easy jumping height, add 5.5.
Note to bears: ratings scale is not applicable – see notes on weight calculations.
Note to humans: ratings scale not really applicable due to lack of claws. For a guideline rating, add 5 to raccoon rating, then multiply by your Body Mass Index. p.s: use of ladders is cheating!
Note to Batman: pretending reverse-abseil with the camera turned on its side is also cheating.
Risk versus reward thingy?
Whoa, Butterfly–On-sight?! O_O
Re: Survey. There is a problem with choosing 3 favourite genres in the sidebar survey. Using option/radio buttons only allows you to select 1 at a time. You would need to change it to check boxes in order to accept more than one selection.
@ Greenwood Goat:
Ah! So you remember the original ‘Batman’ tv show too! 🙂

I’m tempted to make a Ben Affleck joke, but honestly I don’t
careknow a thing about him.Adding a jar of cookies to the mix makes everything easier. It just does.
For some reason, reading this makes me think of Spock’s rocket boots from Star Trek V
I got curious about your research and looked up the La Dura Dura climber, and it is Chris Sharma right?
But why does the raccoon beside him look diffrent than the rest? Another spiecies?
I am also really excited to see who Butterfly is, especially since she will star in a new long story-arc. Woo’s sister maybe?
What you didn’t see when Batman climbed out the pit in Dark Knight Rises was the jar of cookies at the top.
I finally understand why Adam Ondra shrieks so much. Poor guy… Raccoons are always beating him to the chains! The people who edit his videos just cut out any and all coon footage to make him seem like a madman.
It all makes so much sense now…
Oh, wait. I just noticed in the tags that the climber is Adam Ondra. My bad.
Btw, anyone else that hates to read vertical text? Or is it just me?
@ Mr_Nabby:
It’s not just you.
Woah, not only does the raccoon climb all these, he does it free solo!
It’s clear that La Dura Dura is easier for a racoon because of the much smaller fingers… where poor Adam and Chris can only fit in one or two at max, the raccoon can fit in its entire hand, most likely :). I don’t get the thing with the birch tree though…
On the solid concrete wall, this is obviously a A2 problem ;). Adding a cookie jar is clearly technical climbing, not free climbing!
Ah yes, motivation is the key.
And what kits are ment in the first example?
Or did your mean kids?
@ Phil:
A kit is a raccoon child.
Nothing is impossible…Specially if you have the right motivations……

Thank you for the info. I fixed it this morning.
I’m stunned that only 10% of S&W fans picked anthro among their favorite genres. I had guessed that this strip was right smack in the middle of The Fandom That Must Not Be Named.
That was Adam Ondra. @ Mr_Nabby:
Raccoons are also fearless and relentless if food is the goal. I’ve seen them drop from astonishing heights and race across places that will not hold their weight (think cartoon bridges that disintegrate behind the characters as they run) to get to an otherwise inaccessible spot.
I’m fairly new here but I’ve read the entire archive and loved it. Oliver’s writing and Powree’s art just make my day–thank you to both of you.
@ Greenwood Goat:
cats are actually comfortable in trees. they having difficulty getting down ONLY when there is a human watching.
after all, you’ll never find a cat skeleton in a tree.
must not be feeling well 2 days have passed and no update
@ Mr_Nabby:
Or Oundra, but probably sharma
This insight into raccoon culture has sparked my curiosity, and now I can’t help but thinking this sort of thing could influence Woo’s book.
/totally wrong, but felt like saying it anyway.
What’s the rating method?
Oh great, he’s Kung Fu Panda.
Oh Woo! That concrete wall isn’t that high. All you’d have to do is get a running start, jump onto the wall and run to the top. No actual climbing necessary for a raccoon. I’ve seen cats do that all the time.
