Check out the great fantasy/sci-fi comic Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell if you want to see more of Sir James Eglamore!
- Sir James Eglamore: I propose to suspend the duel as long as this all-consuming love seeks our lives.
- Cloud: Good idea.
- Sir James Eglamore: Are you ready to break some hearts, my young friend?
- Cloud: I am!

This is becoming pretty surreal Oo
That pun. *face desk* *face desk* *face desk*
@ TwoG:
Yes, a little too surreal. Dream sequence?
@ Anime fan:
don’t hate, the horribility of that pun was GLORIOUS
If you are busy doing stuff like this throw some fire ball in of Larisa ‘-)
I wonder where this is going
Btw- Now that I am free from work this week, I have managed to finally plow through my big pile of unread comics, and have been able to pick up the pace on my Gunnerkrigg reading. (I’m at Ch 18)
I am really liking it so far, but my favorite chapter is nr 15, where the girls take Red to get a haircut. There is sooo much comedy gold, especially the ending! XD
I’m really glad I started reading it!
Well I’m not going to try and impress any girls anytime soon…
Girls are divided between fans of Cloud and those who kiss up to teacher?
Star Hearts I can figure out, but who is Zita the Spacegirl?
Considering the third panel, they should’ve gone with metal blades.
“This All-Consuming Love Seeks Our Lives” would make a really pretentious album title.
DIBS.
don´t ever end this comic, or a part of me will die
Then Cloud accidentally break Sandra’s heart…..
@ AckAckAck:
I was just thinking about the same thing…pooooor Sandra =(
Somewhere, this arc got weird.
(…okay, the Internet is telling me who “Zita” is, but where the heck is she…?)
Dood Wat
XD
This arc is too awesome

No, those who want to kiss the teacher.
The boy fighting alongside Eglamore is Cloud, a secondary character of this comic.
@ Jerry:
Cloud may not be the title character, but he is hardly secondary. I’d agree he’s not THE main character, but he IS a major character.
@ Jerry:
Who are you telling that to?
@ Raen:
It’s probably stating that this arc, or at least this fight, is a reference to one of the Zita comics. Maybe she also fought a bunch of hearts or something. I dunno. XD
Oh, if only breaking hearts was this bada**. XD
If this were Gunnerkrigg, this would almost be just another day at the court. Almost.
That settles it! This world is in a video game!
@ Ryguy987:
If this were Gunnerkrigg, those hearts would have superpowers.
If I have to guess where the play is in Sandra’s dream. So he don’t break Sandra’s hart but all the girls hearts
@ illeatyourself:
He’s parodying GkC’s author’s comments.
History lesson, folks.
Tom’s art improved quickly to begin with. Unfortunately, this coincided with a gap in appearances by our Sir Eglamore. On, I think it was his second appearance? There was a great many people on the forums who insisted that this was a new character, and were postulating on his role.
Tom found this to be silly.
From then on it became a running gag that whenever Eglamore appeared, Tom would put author’s commentary making very clear that this was Eglamore that was there and which of the people featured on the page was Eglamore.
@ illeatyourself:
@ Me-me:
Damn, accidentally entered too soon.
Later on, when the joke died down, Tom started just mentioning who the OTHER people were around Eglamore, confident that his fans would more or less recognise Eglamore. Usually.
So today, we have jokes about stating the obvious.
This has been your history lesson for today.
@ Me-me:
I’d give you a thumbs up, but they removed that function. =P
@ Me-me:
Thanks for the info. This will surely make the authors commentary in GC more humorous. 🙂
LOL
I really hope this is not a dream sequence.
Well Well looks like the Heart demons off of Shamrock got loose.

Somehow reminds me of Zeratul´s words during the final stand against Amon.
@ chrisjenl:
I have an idea, but it’s probably not what’s going to happen…
Oh Cloud, you heart breaker you….
Oh my god, you did a crossover with Gunnerkrigg Court… I can’t even right now, that is so amazing

Arguable, but everyone can have their own opinion =)
@ Me-me:
Thank you much for coming in before I could. What can I say, the joke needed to be made.
somehow i perceive a tinge of yaoi influence in there. hahaha. XD
Is there any chance this is one huge dream? Or that Cloud ate some REALLY good shrooms?
You know, if that first attack is any indication, their swords are going to come out of this very beaten up. Wonder how that’s going to work for continuing their duel.
Uh oh, they’re not going to kiss, are they?
@ TehTimmah:
Eat your heart out.
There have been some surreal bits in the comic before, but this is about the furthest it’s ever gone. I wonder if it’s going to keep pushing in that direction?
Seperoth and Cloud teamed up at one point in FF7. I see an allusion to that encounter here. Perhaps this teacher is actually evil and will try and resurrect Jenova with the only way to defeat this new evil being to bread chocobos for a really long time until a golden baby shows up and then, after proper raising, ride that chocobo across land and sea to the last materia summon, collect the valuable materia and save the day! *phew*
…I just copied Larisa’s epic-quest speech, didn’t I?
@ Xezlec:
I think the comic will mostly just use these surreal moments as one-off jokes. I’ll actually get annoyed if this scene has lasting influence on the comic.
…and so they kissed eachother.
I have to ask: if this si really happening in Sandra and Woo’s reality, why isn’t everyone freaking out over flying hearts?? And just HOW is it happening?? Is there some kind of magic leakage coming from Elgamore that’s causing this, or am I looking for a reason more than ‘it’s a webcomic about a talking raccoon and you’re looking for realism?’ .
I’m enjoying the story so far, but if S+W and GC do exist in the same reality will there be further interactions between the two, or is this nothing more than a one-time crossover like Ben 10 and the secret Saturdays was a few weeks ago on CN?
(and sorry for typos-for some reason the ad above is cutting off half the comment box and I can’t remove it to see everything I tyope)
@ illeatyourself:
It’s a running joke with the author of GC to point out Eglamore.
@ Aerion Snowpaw:
Yeah, Snowpaw, I think you’re right., I’m just saying… it’s weird that this one-off joke is going so long. But I have faith in our dear leader. 😉
