- Zoey: Frankly, I don’t think penises are that important.
- Larisa: Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, girl.
- Larisa: Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against lesbians. The way I see it, there can’t be enough of them!
- Zoey: Really?
- Larisa: Sure! The more lesbians, the less competition for the hottest boys!
- Zoey: I never looked at it that way.
- Larisa: Gay guys on the other hand…!

@ Nivarion:
Hey what can I say. I aim to please … All the ladies.
Yeah I know i’m goin to hell for bad jokes/puns. BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT! 😀
Hmm. Being a straight male I think I’ll just call for more of both!
I showed this to one of my gay friends and he just DIED! This killed us both!
LOL! Larissa is so much fun. I consider her the true star of the comic.
@ DrCatco:
That’s pretty much straight guys in general(being one myself, I should know).
I’m just wondering what type of thinking led Larissa to the conclusion that penises were something that awesome to shout about?
Okay, I’m a guy and I have one. Duh. And yea, it’s important for some things. But the way Larissa is trumpeting the attribute I just don’t understand what would have caused her to think of them in that excited a way.
I’m fairly confident that she hasn’t had any experiences with one so it’s not from any learned source. It could just be something she’s not dealt with and, by default, it’s awesome and worth defending in such a context to Zoey.
Now I’m not saying anything she or Zoey has said is wrong, or bad or anything like that. It just strikes me as odd that Larissa is saying they are so awesome when she has no reason to think that on the surface.
Maybe I’m just reading more into it than there is, or just interpreting it a different way than others.
@ Annon:
As a lesbian who spent too many years trying to be straight, I think that’s disgusting even to suggest! Are you going to try being gay before you decide you’re straight?
I can’t say I’m crazy about this new banner ad – it seems like the message is “hey, look! our comic’s got lesbians in it!” which as a marketing strategy seems… dodgy.
Putting a buck down for a third panel kiss/fourth panel Larisa flouncing off and leaving her blushing and awkward.
Gay guys on the other hand… Can take and share pictures. C’mon Larisa, you know you want something to keep that paintbrush moving those lonely winter nights.

Well, I already have a loving girlfriend so I’m technically don’t thin the competition out, nor do I add to it, as I am a 4 on the Kinsey Scale.
Hrm…Has Larissa made a new friend? Perhaps an addition to the main cast?
@ Tobias_Marco:
ordinarily I would be slightly offended by that (not really) but I wil forgive you because you’re an Animorphs fan.
Logic would state that guys should hate the idea of lesbians as it removes women for the dating-pool, but it truth, guys take to lesbians like Sir Mix-a-Lot takes to big round asses. Beyond the fact that they conjuror-up fantasies of two sweaty, naked lades making-out, but in our delusional dreams, we desire the unattainable and in our narcissistic minds, we think we can archive the greatest form of masculinity by “turning” them straight.

Frankly, if something like this has any impact on a person’s opinion of that issue, they probably never had a reason for their opinion beyond “Ew, gross!”
@ Gamesman:
Okay, that research is automatically bunk because both sexes have a 0/3,500,000,000 chance of being 100% hetero or 100% homo.
Avianmisquito wrote:
The idea that this is measurable is nonsensical, and this idea in particular is really offensive to a lot of people. “Homosexual” and “Heterosexual” are useful ideas to describe particular activities or as part of a person’s sexual identity, but human sexuality is a lot more complicated than that- a hell of a lot more complicated than a binary switch or a sliding scale, certainly.
Guys, it’s not that she hates gay guys, she hates competition.
Larisa is at the same time one of the best and one of the worst possible people to come out to…

hey, lesbian couples are getting all over webcomics.
writers seem to think nobody wants wholesome entertainment anymore.
you would think lezzie couples were LEGALLY required now.
I’m pretty sure Charles Schulze (Peanuts creater and writer) would NEVER do a lezzie strip or a homo strip, but seems writers think they MUST to be noticed now.
Those darn gay guys

Mind if I stop this train before it starts? It doesn’t matter in the first place. What Charles Schulz would do honestly doesn’t matter because:
1) He is, sadly, deceased.
2) He had a different genre, strictly slice-of-life and without an enveloping storyline.
A homosexual character is just another character. If you’re so sensitive to overused character types, please leave forever, because there are a lot more characters repeated ad infinitum than a gay or lesbian character.
I honestly couldn’t care less about it, but people insist on bringing this up again and again. Please, for as long as this story arc is present, can you people please stop complaining about something as ridiculous as this and start reading the comic for it’s story and comedy, like it’s meant to be read? I’m honestly just going to give up trying after this…
this… was… not what I was expecting… when I came here…
@ DrCatco:
But lesbians are hot!

I want to see his parents reaction to Larisa! “Hi Mom, hi Dad, this is my girlfriend Larisa!” “Larisa . .. Larisa . . . isn’t that . . . oh! Erm . .. uh . . . good to meet you Larisa! Really! (Sotto voce to Landon- ‘keep her AWAY from the propane tank!)
You don’t think penises are important ?
Well, to make sure there is another generation to keep the country and the wolrd populated, there sure are damn freakin’ important, fo’ sure.
@ Valkeiper2012:
Then explain tomboy Peppermint Patty and her relationship to Marcy. Some people find it a little ambiguous. I somewhat agree.
BAHAHAHAHA I love Larisa. XD
I have similar logic:
I believe that the Earth is overpopulated, so the more gays, the better! (Although straight people who don’t have more than 1 kid are fine, too.)
@ Mobyulus:
Gay guys are ok because they mean less competition for the hottest chicks? XD
Larisa giveth and Larisa taketh 🙂
Oh Larisa. You know where it’s at….
Let’s remember that being a lesbian is not hating penises. There are trans women who are lesbians and do not wish to have bottom surgery. Saying something like “I wouldn’t date a woman if she had a penis” is like saying “I wouldn’t date someone if they were black”

Whoever it was, I commend them. It’s number one on my all-time favorite films list.
Yeah Penises aren’t that important anymore. Now our balls on the other hand.
my first reason to support gay couples is because more chances of me getting laid XD
