Advice cat
Well, I won’t do it, but according to our page views, I should.
In other news, I have sent the first batch of posters to our German and Swiss fans.
Currently on hiatus :-(
S&W in German/auf Deutsch Gaia (my fantasy comic) Scarlet (my science fantasy comic) |
Sandra and Woo is supported by our patron Duke. Thank you very much! |

That’s why I subscribed to the feed! 🙂
To buy a boat obv.
Yes.
Yes, you should.
You’re suprised?
In other news, write more about lesbian schoolgirl .
Perhaps it is also a matter of awkward teenage love. Cloud’s problem at the beach was also a big hit, but I think it had less to do with the problem and more to do with emotions behind it. In my opinion Sandra and Woo is at it’s best with a story arc that involves the interactions between the characters, and what is a better interaction than awkward emotions and first loves.
Sorry I couldn’t open my email for the poster. It started to mess up.
Also, where did that cat get a suit? Also, yes.
More awkward teenage romantic, homosexual or heterosexual, is always good. Raccoon shenanigans are also good. Mixing the two… well, I’m sure there’s a clean and fun way to do that without being uncomfortably weird.
But seriously, I hope you carry on with Zoey’s development, both as a character and foil to Larisa.
I seriously hope this is not a snark against the latest chapter of Gunnerkrig Court. GC is a webcomic that has been critically lauded from its very beginning and its latest chapter was an organic development of the story, not some kind of desperate reader-alluring gimmick.
@ Pylgrim:
No, it’s a reference to a storyline in this comic: Zoey had a crush on Michelle, then after succumbing to temptation and kissing her, decided to talk to Larissa about it…
I am putting this here as i can’t find anywhere else to put it re: no contact info for artist/writer. How does one join this site to be able to participate in posters etc?? I see a place to log in on the site but no where to register. Help???
Thanks
@ Daniel Phoenix:
Contact info is on the About/FAQ page.
Well, that page about her sarcastically realizing that girls have no penis ist just too adorable to not be linked to friends. 😀
Not just lesbian school girls. All of the awkward cute (flammable) relationships
If it is fiction then i want more love… I don’t care if they are straight, lesbian, gay or Larisa+Landon…
Me trying to imply something is just your imagination =)
Well, duh. 🙂
Obviously, you shouldn’t turn S&W into a lesbo schoolgirl comic (then again, if you REALLY want to buy that boat, you definitely should. You just need to make Sandy realize she’s always been in love with Larissa and dwell on the teenage angst with lots of changing room/ public shower scenes and you got your ticket to Hawaii 🙂 )
On the other hand, the story about Zoey is pretty interesting (not just the ‘sort-of-coming-out’, but also the interaction between Larissa and Zoey, given their previous history). I like the current zany raccoon story arc as well, but I’m really interested to see where the girls’ story will go (with the obvious cliffhanger ending).
Keep up the good work and don’t believe the statistics! 🙂
@ Trimutius:
Oh, yes, the Larisa/Landon (is that LandRisa? Definitely not LarDon…) storyline is pretty interesting, too. Plenty of ways to go, it hasn’t really been fleshed out so far, we mostly only got scenes of Larisa shocking/dominating Landon (but in a good way 🙂 ). Landon needs to spend more time with Cloud and Sandy so that his character has time to come out.
please do!!! It was an abrupt end to a… i guess… short story arc, with a lot of questions unanswered about zoey
I actually first came here from the ad that had the girls spectating the swordfight. “You’re looking in the wrong direction”
@ Mystyr Nile:
ehehe…me to. I thought it was kinda cute
Posters are here (WOO!) Now I’m searching for the questions.
…wait, you won’t?
What, is she moving?
one reason for this could be because of the design of the ad that many people see to get to your page. I know the ad i saw that started me reading involved one girl googely-eyeing another.
I think that arc was popular for more reasons that *just* lesbian school girls. Yes that is going to draw readers for sure, but there were three other aspects of that arc that made it popular.
1. It started with Cloud and the new gym teacher sparring with swords.
2. There was enough evidence half way through the arc that it seemed like Sandra and Woo would be gaining another central character (Zoey)
3. Yet again we were teased with the reveal of Larisa’s dark secret….which was yet again yanked away from us at the last minute -.-
All in all it was the best arc of the series since Larisa’s insulen arc awhile back in my book.
I blame the number of people searching for ‘Lesbian schoolgirls’ on google.
@ Kenju:
Also, a cameo of a popular character from a ”bigger” comic…
You won’t do it? I’d love to see more of that story arc! (It’s actually what first brought me to this comic.)
Honestly, it’s your excellent character development that keeps my attention, gay, straight, or raccoon. XD Your characters might have certain tropes that they fit into, but they’re not defined by those tropes. They’re three dimensional. That catches my eye far more than any other thing.
You really should. That story never really seemed to close. It just stood there mocking us as we hung over a cliff.
>more lesbian schoolgirls
I see no issues here.
Lesbians, lesbians everywhere.
Actually I’m a little sick of lesbian ideology. How many times will you knock to my head, that lesbians are ok, good, and natural.
@ Hiperon:
So unnatural. Such ideology. Wow.
@ Kenju:
I agree. This about sums up why I like it.
@ yuri vampire:
Wow. Such sarcasm. Much irony. Wow internet. So pro. Such funny. Wow. Adorable.
Yes. Yes, you should.
Well… yes, you SHOULD write more stories about lesbian schoolgirls. That storyline is begging for a continuation. You should also write more stories about straight schoolgirls. And their boyfriends. And more stories about the human characters where their sexual orientation is of no consequence whatsoever.
As Wanderer said.
Also more stories about procyonids. And other critters.
In short, write more stories. And more one-off gags.
Actually, just use your own judgment; it seems to be working quite well for you so far. ^_^
@ Norman:
I completely agree. Just keep doing what you feel is best. The way I see it, you’re great at alternating between in depth stories about the characters and short funny stories of one offs. Also, I’m really enjoying the story about the raccoon culture (Not really sure if that’s what I should call it.) . So, pretty much anything you’ve done seems to have worked well.
YES. THIS MUST BE DONE.
i guess you dont want to attract the wrong crowd to the fanbase for the wrong reasons, meaning: for you perverts out there you can get you sick kicks somewhere else but not here
@Everyone
Most definitely!!!!!! Besides, the last comic in that arc was called “This Is Not The End”. So, you HAVE to!!!!!! You dug this hole, now the only way to get out is to finish what you started!!!!!
@ Mystyr Nile:
Me too 😉
I miiight be slightly responsable for that, and I am sorry. The reason is that i have one of the pages of that arc bookmarked. so each time i come to see the update i access that page. Sorry!
I think you may have a confound in your data in that you are comparing lesbian schoolgirls to 7 pages of a raccoon climbing a wall.
The last comic of that story arc was titled “This Is Not The End”. So, like it or not, you HAVE to.
Okay I think I’ll add my 2 cents. Stories about lesbian schoolgirls are actually helpful in normalizing LGBT teens. The more these kind of stories are told (without the salaciousness) the more people can see them as normal. While I personally don’t find other men attractive in that way knowing guys that were gay helped me be more accepting of gay men. Although I did have a leg up on some people because I was raised in a very liberal blue-collar family.
Why “won’t” you?
Because it isn’t simple, everyday character development? It’s a good part of a story that makes the character deeper and more real, while retaining the humor and the risk that love, feelings, and emotions and their honest expression should always contain.
You don’t seem to me to be the type that backs away from something more difficult than average.
But your flat, declarative statement surprises me.
I was taught that an artist never compromises expression, of the self or of the characters they create.
I like S&W for what it is, And that isn’t just a “cute” story or characters (Masked or not)
Keep on. But there comes a point where the characters might lead you in some surprising directions. Don’t be afraid to follow the flow. Those of us who like you and like your work will hang around. No worries.
That cat is from the music video for triumph of a heart by bjork.
I know I shouldn’t be complaining since the comic’s called Sandra AND Woo, so he’s about half the comic, so when I realized the arc about the rockclimbing raccoon was longer than the arc about the lesbian schoolgirls I figured it was just a cute idiosyncrasy, but this my first visit to the site since 2013, and we’re STILL going on about the raccoons. We should be DONE. We have reached the point on diminishing returns on the raccoons.
Listen to the avice cat!
more stories about lesbian school girls makes a lot of sense.. and dont you allready have one?
Add catgirl and its gets even better!
Possibly chainsaw juggling also if you really want to go for those extra bonus points….
possibly “Of doom” as well if where appending stuff…
i.e Lesbian neko schoolgirl juddling chainsaws of doom X3
that is a pathway to awsome!
Does this mean you’ll continue the lesbian arc soon?
