- Larisa: I’m sure you’ve heard some of these nasty rumors going ’round ’bout me. But I’m not like that!
- Larisa: I mean, it’s not like I’ve ever committed a felony!
- Larisa: …
- Larisa: Well, apart from that insignificant attempt to cause an unauthorized nuclear detonation last July.
- Landon: So that was the reason for that squad of black helicopters.

Quoted from Sandra herself,
“Some people just shouldn’t try to defend themselves..”
An unauthorised nuclear detonation? I understand I am commenting on a comic about a talking raccoon, but this is a bit much.
@ Random lurker: This is larisa we’re talking about. an unauthorised nuclear detonation is just the tip of the iceberg 😀
I’ve always thought that the world would be a much more fun place if there were more people like her around, but on second thought there might not even be a world in that case…
Confirmed: Larisa trying to give birth to Godzilla.
For some reason, I really like that the dad has just been sitting there without a word xD
Son’t stand on the middle ground, Larisa.
And this is one of the things she admits…if she willingly admitted to this …then imagine what else she has done but we just don’t know it •__•

Actually, a large part of her “problem” is that I don’t think “lying” actually occurs to her, normally. Which may partly explain why she’s so bad at it.
That’s crap, Landon. I know for a fact that those helicopters were in “low visibility night camo”, not black.
HA HA Oh my. Larissa’s serious about controlling ukraine after all…
@ ░▒▓█│Walkman│█▓▒░:
Does the iceberg happen to be at all related to the block of ice in comic #454?
Edward is like “I’m just pretending to listen to you cause I couldn’t care less about my son’s relationships, but my wife’ll be pissed if I don’t look interested”
What’s the saying? GO BIG OR GO HOME!

I dunno. Consider the “flexibility” in the Obama Administration since he managed to cheat his way to victory in the 2012 elections, and bear in mind that while they’re banal in their evil and incompetence, they’re also stupid and gullible.
Larisa is neither, bless her nihilistic little heart.
You know, come to think of it I think she’d get along pretty well with this crew: http://www.precociouscomic.com/
Third panel is just pure gold.
Kids will be kids!
@ Luke:
Also, you know how I said I didn’t know how this could get any worse? Well…
So… how did she get out of that one? The US government doesn’t exactly have a reputation for leniency.
It’s not like a Larisa has done anything morally wrong. You just have to look at it from a certain point of view.
(“from a certain point of view” is Jedi for “I’m lying out of my ass.”)
@ Random lurker:
Well, anyone can attempt anything, it’s succeeding that’s the difficult part. The question is though, was the black helicopters a result of her attempt or were they there for a different reason?
Is the climax of this story going to be the parents forgiving her for all her past crimes, but then freaking out when she kisses Landon a little too… “maturely?”
“But it’s not a felony if you aren’t caught”

I’m going to go with until Larisa breaks down or until Landon stops defending her.

I’m thinking more the other direction… getting down on their knees and thanking the gods above that kissing their son maturely is the only really bad influence she has had on their son. 😀
Larisa, I highly recommend shutting up at this point. That or seppuku. Either will work.
the way mom is glaring at her…priceless!
Boy, when she digs a hole, she really DIGS!!!
For all the people talking about the USA government, remember, they are Germans, not Americans
Her gravestone is going to be made of nuclear waste with fireworks strapped to it and an iPod playing “Thanks For The Memories” by Fallout Boy. As the last bit of dirt is put back on, the priest (or whoever, it is Larisa after all) will light a torch and throw it on the headstone, causing a giant fireball in the shape of Stalin’s face.
I’m guessing by the way Landon’s dad is smiling at Larisa, the mom is going to try to get rid of Larisa but he’ll say Landon needs some excitement in his life and try to defend Larisa (kinda).
How did she get pure enough plutonium? Assembling it to a nuke is a child’s play… But getting it…
Her definition of ‘insignificant’ would probably feed Godzilla for a week.
Well, at least Landon’s dad likes you, Larissa! -nervous chuckles-
Well, she does have the codes to some Russian nuclear missles…
Let’s not forget intruding upon a wear house! But hey who dosent do that when they are a kid?
(Kids who had no freinds like me) that’s who .
“Black Helicopters. Google it!”- Matt Hullum, Rooster Teeth Shorts.
Yeah, but Larissa, honey, “Apart from-” does indeed imply that you have committed a felony, regardless of the significance.
I have to admit that I am extremely curious about what sort of art piece required such an attempt, though.
My money is on Landon’s mother being a former hellion herself, and she is seeing too much of herself in Larisa. Thus she knows what Larisa has in store for her soon.

I think they’re starting to warm up to you, Larissa.
Larisa’s the type to hit rock bottom then start drilling isn’t she? How much more can Landon’s Mom take? She already looks like she’s sharpening the metaphorical pitchfork!
@ HatMan:
And I also forgot to mention. Landon’s Dad seems pretty chill with this. That smile in the first panel… It’s almost the “I did some of that back in the day” smile. Or maybe it just is.
Petah-Petah wrote:
I think when it comes to Landon’s mom, the only way to warm her up at this point would be to set her on fire.
She’s awesome! Just… wow! Besides, if it was just an attempt, it doesn’t count.

Sandra @ FallenLove123:
The strip takes place in the USA.
@ Xezlec:
Whoops. I guess I clicked reply, started typing “Sandra lives in teh USA”, then got distracted, came back, clicked reply, and typed a comment without looking.
@ Tucci78: It’s monday, I haven’t had my coffee yet and this is a comic NO F^(KING POLITICS!!!!!
