Ye Thuza: Ironically an identical pamphlet was found next to Kyaw Ne Min s fishing equipment when they discovered it. They never *DID* find him though.
Okay, on one hand I know that this is a straw man of extreme, misogynistic feminism. The teacher is over reacting and it’ll be fun to see her brought down! On the other hand, I can’t help but feel that it kind of leads to the reader to believe that all feminists are bad, and that feminism isn’t a legitimate social cause and as a reaction to problems that are pervasive in our society. For instance, when Sandra and Cloud are play acting, with Sandra being the pure damsel that must protect her purity, it’s kind of indicative of rape culture. What if she wasn’t acting, could cloud pick up on that every single time? So what if they’re dating, you can be in a relationship or married and not want a sexual action at that time, which is how marital rape occurs. I couldn’t even tell if Sandra wanted to be kissed at that time, because her facial expression seemed ambiguous to me.I’d really like to see other, more realistic feminists here because now I can’t tell if this is the view of the author or if there is a punchline coming.

In regards to Amy’s comment on seeing more realistic feminists- Yes, Larisa, Sandra and Ye Thuza are all feminists. But how about a feminist who is allowed to make a theoretical point without being over the top or threatened by violence? Women who are good a violence are not necessarily feminists- frequently they are just violent women.
I find it interesting that as soon as a woman starts spouting feminist theory, the comments go way over the top with how they would deal with her. How about successfully rebutting her without anger or threats but with well crafted arguments? Some of the commenters did choose that route and that was nice to see.
But all the bitch remarks and all the desire for violence were just sad. By the doG, people, if we cannot disagree about a comic without threatening each other/characters or without calling names how can we possibly expect to solve any sort of real issue at all?

I got three things from this strip:
1. Hopefully Dorothy Cambridge won’t be terrorizing our beloved S&W characters any longer.
2. Ye Thuza hates Saudi Arabia: she just mailed them a human WMD.
