This is why you don’t trust someone with directions who prepends or appends them with “I think”.
Who is George Brown… And where is the axe?
Nice Minsk reference there. 🙂
@ Trimutius:
George? Did you mean to say Roger Brown? 😀
Character with ongoing story relevance?
Probably not.
Directly related to the cereal incident?
You know it!
Are the times on this sight set to the german time? Just wondering why I can see comments from the future, on a strip released tomorrow.
RRRRAAAAAAASSSSK!
I was not expecting Minsc, I’ll admit.
@ Eagle0600:
In hind-site, it was probably inevitable, though.
“Butt-kicking for goodness!”
To me that seemed like a good moment to reintroduce cloud but alas
Hm… He’s looking neither axe nor murdery to me.
shouldn’t it be WOO instead of QOO in the last panel novil?
Heh. I play the REALLY OLD PC version of Baldur’s Gate. Also, Silly Sandra, that’s no murderor.
Suddenly, Roger Brown unzips his face and Larisa comes out with a flaming chainsaw. >:^)
@ Tricki:
Also, Qoo is Woo’s nickname in this story arc.
@ Tricki:
When Sandra is play-acting as “Sandy South”, Woo is “Qoo”.
The way “Qoo” is drawn in the final panel, I’d worry more about rabies than the claws. Roger doesn’t know Woo has had all his shots.
Now, can someone please explain the “Minsk” allusion?
I grow TIRED of shouting battle cries when fighting this mage! Boo will finish his eyeballs once and for all, so he DOES NOT RISE AGAIN! Evil, meet my sword! SWORD! MEET! EVIL!
“Qoo”
It amazes me how many people have never noticed that Woo becomes Qoo during Sandy’s detective fantasies.
A den of stinking evil. Cover your nose Boo! We will leave no crevice untouched!
@ Edda:
Balder’s Gate a RPG game had a NPC named Minsc who carried a hamster with him.
@ Edda:
Everything you need to know about Minsc: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/BaldursGateMainPartyMembers
@ Edda:
MinsC
that is the sign of a true professional. Even in a panic, she still uses her partner’s code-name
And speaking of professional, could this “Brown” be in any way related to “Doc” Brown who issued a special message yesterday?
How long have you waited for a chance to use that joke?
@ Joel:
Backers get early access to strips with the ability to comment on them. See the gold/silver/whatever box around the post.
Yer all buffleheaded.
Minsc was a Ranger class character from the Dungeon’s & Dragons (R) role-playing video game Baldur’s Gate. His animal companion was a “miniture giant space hamster” named Boo. One of Minsc’s combat phrases was “Go for the eye’s Boo! Go for the eyes!”
@ Trimutius:
Well this guy is Roger brown, but I doubt he’s the right one:

YEAH! BG-Reference! ^^
@ Mechwarrior:
Thanks for link. All is clear now.
As for spelling it “Minsk”, one of the first commenters wrote it that way. With no other references, I thought it referred to the Russian city.
Wanderer wrote:
I’m more amazed how many people are still asking about it, even though that question has been answered in the comment section of every. Single. Comic of this arc.
@Lukkai: Apparently not that many people read the comment section before they post .
@ João Ferreira:
I’m pretty sure Novil changed the name before making this page public… Or maybe I’m just reading weirdly…
Amateur raccoon owner. Deploy expert mode first Then send him on the attack.
@ Wanderer: People keep thinking Qoo is an error because it looks like a typing error. Indeed, it may have begun as a typing error amd Powree liked the look of it. Wouldn’t be the first time that has happened if that is the origin.
Roar.
@ Salisria:
Seems more likely it’s a play on “clue”, to fit the detective RP.
@ Salisria:
I am guessing it is a nod to Q from James Bond.
Given that the comic showed her father playing Baldur’s Gate II in the past it makes sense that this reference would also crop up.
