Oh boy, almost a day late. But having to write and publish 200+ comic pages per year can sometimes be a little taxing.
- Larisa: Girls need to send boys subtle signals to make it clear that they’re interested in them.
- Larisa: When it comes to the means of sending such subtle signals, one should always consider fashion.
- Luna: This is subtle?
- Larisa: Almost too subtle.
- T-shirt: Thomas, I like you!

i like how most of the “this is actually still too subtle” comments are guys….. And just to add to that pool, as a lesbian, I sort of have to say it’s the same. Sledgehammers people! With neon lights and maybe a set of backup dancers!

Must be hell for the teacher.
I was in a class with two Lukas (one of them was me) and two Thomas from fourth to sixth grade. I can’t count the “No, the other…”s by the teacher.
Imagining that with, say, half a dozen guys of the same name… XD

Also works as a reminder that characters DO seem to age in this comic. They looked so much younger 548 pages ago… XD
i agree almost too subtle
According to Wijo’s Law, “Communication fails, except by accident.”
If it is of any importance, BE DIRECT. Then at least it isn’t your fault if the message isn’t understood.

Well that only worked because he was fighring French…
otherwise if you look at how the battle progressed – the move british fleet was suicidical to point of insanity – Nelson had inferior force, and went straight against a crossed T.
As a male, I can attest that in our language that is actually subtle. We don’t and will never get much more discreet signals.
Yes, it is subtle. This way, it just looks like Luna lost a bet.
@ Martin Cohen:
Lana is of different ethnicity.
Luna***@ Grace Adohug:
@ Leomon:
I don’t know, as a teenaged boy, that’s something I might not notice.
Wow…just wow…
@ Leomon:
She’s right though.
You shouldn’t be taking advice on subtlety from a pyromaniac. That like…like…taking advice on subtlety FROM A PYROMANIAC.

On behalf of pyromaniacs everywhere, I wholeheartedly agree.

I was more referring to the fact Larissa was throwing all subtlety to the wind with this plan and charging right in. Nor am I saying Nelson was always right. Just pointing out the intersection of Larissa’s and Nelson’s ideas.
@ Leomon:
“The opposite of subtle” is why it has a strong chance of working. (I bet he still asks if she knows many Thomases though. ^_^ )
Girls tell OTHER girls to be subtle, but if you asked any guy, it would be “be straightforward so there’s no chance of confusion”.
Boys and girls do not think in the same ways; that has been proven over and over and is the fodder for just about every standup comedian that has ever stepped onto a stage. A “subtle hint” doesn’t work because we A) didn’t even notice, or B) didn’t interpret your hint the same way you did, because we don’t have a 100% identical set of background references to draw on.
Well, it’s better than going the Cloud route.
Luna eyes still bother me. Is something up with them?
Looks like it’s time for that deus ex machina.

Speak for yourself. Some of us actually have the abiltily to read body language and not assume that ever girl wants us.
we read subtle and we knew where this was going XD
@ Leomon:
Actually, having been a teenage boy a long, LONG time ago, Larisa may be right. LOL.
I think Larissa is right. After all, we’re talking about a boy here, a HIGH SCHOOL boy. High school boys are notoriously clueless.
