- Larisa: Now what?
- The Devil: First, we have to find out what the angels have planned for Saturday.
- The Devil: They always prepare spectacular deaths for people on their personal hit list. That means we have to be on the lookout for any kind of sign.
- Billboard: Tech Expo – Saturday: 8 am – 8 pm – Big demo of TESLA’s new autonomous construction vehicles – Sunday: 8 am – 7 pm – Robot soccer – Fun & Games!
- Engineer: There’s no way the autopilot will be ready on Saturday, Mr. Musk.
- Elon Musk: The autopilot is ready when I say it is ready!!
- Engineer: Gulp
Why does that excavator remind me of a Transformers G1 Constructicon? Specifically Scavenger.
@ Paeris Kiran:
“As with the batteries – this universe has physical laws and rules. They in the end define what is the achievable limit.”
I guess driving 400 km on a charge in a car that can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds is good enough for me. The constructors of my current car couldn’t squash more than 450 km in the tank anyway.
We will likely eventually have improvements in both solar and battery tech. I doubt we are at the pinnacle of technology and physics here like others have suggested. Smacks of the 64K ought to be enough for anybody line. We need cheap batteries and/or super-capacitors not based on using rare earth metals or other limited resources, and cheap solar or economic fusion power. The rest will follow if and once we have those two technologies.

According to Tesla, it was actually caused by poor visibility, which made both the driver and car fail to see the truck in front of it. In other words, a fully alert human driver would have probably reached the same fate.
I’m of two minds about Musk myself. On one hand, he’s a mad scientist. On the other hand, so is Tony Stark.
I have a feeling the in-strip reference isn’t intended to be vitriolic, but that it’s hard to get as much without a familiarity with The Aviator and its depiction of Howard Hughes.

I’m refering to G1 devastator and not the abomination that is the micheal bay version.

Haha! The first movie! I remember!
Still not seeing any sign of danger yet, must have called it off……….
That’s not Musk, that’s Hans Zarkov! Only the autopilot can save us all from Ming the Merciless!
ELON NO!
Think of the children! Won’t someone think of the children!

just check how far you could get if you burned the coal direcly in a steam engine… overall difference between endless conversions from chemical to heat, to movement to electricity, to charge, to electricity and to movement is not that different from a modern steam engine.
Just want to remind people about the art contest. 🙂

… I don’t get it. Why is this strip tagged “Simpsons” and “Mr. Burns”? Please note that I haven’t watched the show at all (I’m Saudi Arabian, the show doesn’t air here).

Seconded, I haven’t seen watched the Simpsons in years.
Somebody trope me! 🙂
@ Trimutius:
He was killed by being a moron. He was watching movies while driving. It’s not exactly fair to blame that on Tesla’s glorified cruise control.
ooh, robot soccer!
Do one about pokemon go
@ lel:
No.
@ Trimutius:
35’000 people in the USA have died from “regular car” accidents in 2015.
Autopilot wins.
@ Paeris Kiran:
Yep. And I don’t want to ride around on a steam engine doing 250 km/h XD

Of course you will need nuclear power plants. Anybody thinking we can get enough energy without nuclear is pipe dreaming. We will only stop needing current nuclear reactors when we find out how to build the fusion ones. Solar energy is nice for remote areas, but not for heavy industry.
While you are making a parody, as an artist advising you, I would stay away from real life Companies, like Tesla and a persons real name and doing what I see here, legally, while it is a parody, they could get you for slander. Just Saying.
Speak of the devil.
@StacieMeier Please look up the difference between slander and libel. And not everbody cares about the UK’s laws.

A witness at the scene said he was watching a Harry Potter movie.

Parody is legally protected in the United States, at least.

The specified volume of hands you wiill be required to play, usually won’t exced the number you
would play, should you be intent on playing
to win. Forr example if your flush draw has a 34% hance of coming on the turn, do you want too risk yyour chips.
The Ante bonus pays out at even money to get a straight, four
to 1 for three off an kind and fibe tto oone for a straight flush.
@ Dweeve:
Yeah, Elon’s a great guy. One of my favourite celebrities.
