- Sandy South: Disgusting, Qoo, absolutely disgusting.
- Sandy South: Child abuse right out in the open. And everybody’s looking away!
- Sandy South: Let’s go home, Qoo. There’s nothing we can do here anymore.
- Sandy South: You’re here?! Where have you been this whole time?

Everybody’s looking away! … Let’s join them!
There was a panel split right at the end. I’m suspicious.
Oh, ok… Wait, what?!?
I’ve already done the “mind shattering” thing before, I’m not gonna do it again.
I can’t quite figure out what’s with those last two panels.
You guys are reading too much into it. The split panel indicates the end of the imagine spot. Sandra can’t be in two places at once, the first panel with Sandy South is In Character, while the final panel is OOC as Sandra North. Nothing shady going on.
A policeman, a priest, and a politician! Is this some kind of joke?
I think this is an allegory about allegories, somehow.
“Never pizza tomorrow what you can Calzone today”
What in the world?!
Thanks, Novil! You took a perfectly okay fan base and broke their minds with comics that make them overthink… why must I overthink? 🙁
“A pineapple in the hand is worth less on a pizza.”
“A pizzeria and it’s unhappy employees are soon found on the 8 o clock news reports.”
“I hate pineapple. It’s course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.” -Isabella
“There’s no crying in Pizza!” -Tony
How does Powree do so well with feet? I swear feet are the *worst* thing to draw, but Powree does them so well.
Reminds me of an old bit a comedian once did about phones giving directions and such, and having different voice options, in which he thought Yoda would be good.
“Seek the hut of pizza you do, give you the number I will. But beware, pineapple, egg, a pizza needs not these things, these are the path to the dark side.”
Get ready for the plot twist: That is actually Sandra West, the evil clone of Sandra North.
@ FlaxSeed:
And the answer to the game is Sandy East
@ An “Average” High Schooler:
Is that a Westing Game reference? :O
*Throws hands in the air*
I’m out.

I’m with ya man. I give up.
Ok, so the whole “policeman, politician, priest” is that they’re all people that should be doing stuff about the “child abuse” and clearly aren’t. While this is a humor webcomic, and therefor not to be taken very seriously, I do think that Novil is trying to make a point.
That is some serious alter-egoing there…

Weeeeelp. That’s that I guess. *closes door behind self*
She clearly changed then got into her bed.
What what what?
@ Solarium:
Wait how is Sandra reacting to Sandy
Through a panel break
@ Solarium:
Even Qoo is confused
Is this absolut the pizza conspiracy that was discussed in the us elections?
@ Nobody:
Then it’s too subtle. Otherwise it’s too weird and well makes me feel uncomfortable to somehow make fun about child abuse.
I’m not looking away, their universe is about to merge, or maybe explode or wink out of existence or they will both explode, merge into one or something…
Umm, everyone check out their fridge(s). I believe this was an elaborate gambit to steal food from the crisper; I swear there was a steak and chicken thighs waiting to be dinner but nope, gone.
I suspect Woo did it. 😉

I devoured a calzone today because of you. Sounded tasty. Lots of peppers and onions inside, spicy sauce.

Oooooh
@ FlaxSeed:
dont you mean south?
@ Nobody:
I think it’s rather about Iceland pizza debate: new president explained check and balance system to high school students, joking that if he was an absolute power president, he could say a word to ban pineapple in pizzas because it is wrong. But in their political system, he can’t without a vote in parliament.
A small debate ensued, arguing whether hawaïan pizza is good, wrong and should be forbidden, or wrong but people should be free to cook and eat awful pizzas anyway.
@ Nobody:
Its more about the misconception some children have about what child abuse is.
Some kids think going to bed without desert is child abuse.
Seeing how broken she is from simply doing her job properly, I’m pretty sure she has a lot worse issues in her life this comic is very poorly addressing. 🙁
There should be a character_duplication tag for this.
Also @ MidoriLuna: I’ll be quoting your comments on my tumblr because they just made my week.
*hides fedora under pillow*
@ Vidad:
You mean something like “a priest, a businessman and a polieofficer walk into a bar, I mean, a pizza place and…” ? Probably no, they are “pillar of the society” types and they are all ignoring the child abuse problem. Or to be more generous, they do not know, the way Sandra did not know untill talking to her friend.

Here in the U.S., people absolutely are free to cook and eat awful pizzas. And they do. Hell, some people even think a pizza is a frozen thing you buy in a grocery store! *Fearful shudder*
It’s true that putting pineapple and spam on a pizza is twisted and wrong, but in a republic we must respect their deviant ways. 🙂
Expecting someone to put pineapple on a Hawaiian pizza is not abuse, nor is expecting a child to do a reasonable number of chores. Is this merely comic exaggeration or is it meant to be some kind of euphemism?

There is no child abuse happening and that’s the joke. Sandra is going on about how the society is ignoring child abuse and having a policeman, a priest and a politician not only witnessing the abuse firsthand without doing anything about it, but actually using a service that causes said abuse to occur, amplifies the sense of betrayal from the society. However, there is no child abuse going on whatsoever, Isabella is only feeling distressed because she decided to be an unreasonable food snob, meaning that her distress is self inflicted. So, the policeman, the priest and the politician is there as a joke to emphasize a non-present problem.
You could make the point that the three may be able to see that Isabella’s smile is forced and that they don’t know that she is just being a dumbass, but even so, if any of them decides to take action, they would quickly find out the truth and stop taking action.
To this arc, I say

As to actual child abuse? I suppose if Isabella is under 16 then her employment violates the Child Labor Rules under the FLSA in that she’s cooking pizza. I don’t know if that really constitutes abuse though, as it’s more a Labor Department thing.
“Take a good look at Isabella’s face.”
