- Sandra: I wonder what Cloud and I should do once we have a proper fight.
- Ye Thuza: In that case it’s best if you come to me and explain everything in detail.
- Sandra: So that you can give us advice on how to solve our differences?
- Ye Thuza: No. So that I can brainwash the one with the wrong opinion. With this brain wave manipulator I found atop Mount Colibri.
- Ye Thuza: Before, it was always such a hassle to make David do the dishes…

I like woo preparing his fedora to prevent being brainwashed
@ Martin:
I believe if he gets his hat because of his concerns about being brainwashed, he wouldn’t have such a big smile.
Time to find everyone who is brainwashed?
Sandy South’s latest adventure: “The Mystery of the Randomly Bleached Shirt“
There are comments, so many comments I could make. For the sake of expedience, however, I shall just say this…”HA!”
How did the secret volcano acquire a name?

Why are you so certain it is the same volcano, where it was found? *puts on tinfoil hat*
@ Vidad:
This is true, Colibri could just be its respawn point. What was Ye Thuza doing there?
Well, camping, obviously.
Vidad wrote:
Because Ye Thuza had it all along. She used it to manipulate Sandra’s brainwaves so that she could be even creepier when having this conversation in the future, which is now.
Well, good thing she’s the one who found it, and not, say, Larissa.
Clever, Woo. You had the tinfoil in the fedora all along, I see!
In the Sandra South Cereal Killer storyline, An axe murderer named Tommy had a brain wave manipulator that looked exactly like the one Ye Thuza is holding in today’s strip. The guy who was helping Woo gave him a lead lined fedora to protect him from brain wave manipulation. Pity the guy went bonkers when he learned that the “fiend” that altered the Crunchies formula was there. Besides, everybody knows that Raisin Bran is the greatest cereal of all time.
Well….i officially hate Ye Thuza now. Because that meant that she did not value her husband’s opinion enough to engage in discourse and compromise and instead messed with his head to manipulate him into what she wanted, that’s not a husband, that’s a doll.
Am I the only one creeped out by Ye Thuza being willing to brainwash people?
@ Brett Bellmore:
No, not by any means.z I’m creeped out by it too.
If Ye Thuza had such a gadget her first move would be a return to Myanmar to do a little brainwashing there.
Incidentally; How would she know what it was and did? “Mark IV Brain Wave Manipulator” etched on the side of the barrel? With full instructions?
Knowing somebody has a mind control ray would freak ANY sane person out….
And that mind control gun looks a lot like an experimental rifle. I’d like to think that Ye Thuza realizes that she’d be shot well before she could get close to her targets- military regimes have to keep all the best weapons to themselves, or there will be a revolution.
This reminds me of the point of view gun from hitch hikers guide to the universe.
Also is she giving Sandra consent to do things to cloud? I can’t wait to see what the other parent has to say about things cause its a lil hard to follow up on tigers anime girls and mind control
I am a David who has recently been trying to get better about helping out with the dishes. This has me questioning my entire fucking life.
Wait that arc was canon orr…

A rare mistake, or is it?…
Woo with hat. So much like Woo with hat.
That is one scary bi…er, lady. >:)
@ Vidad:
Colibri = Hummimgbird = Huitzilopochtli…
Probs the same one.
I suspect that she’s never used it and is just trying to tell them not seek her out to pick sides.
@ Dancsa:
Not even because he’s safe?
@ LordIkechi:
You are assuming that she’s telling the truth about using it. I don’t believe that she would ever use it. However, making others believe that is something that I can see her doing. Her husband will probably play along.
You can never quite tell if Ye Thuza is serious.
@ MidoriLuna:
Right: On 0898 the white strip was at the back of the T-shirt, too, but actually, it was only on the front already in the comics before the current one. So the mistake is more likely on one panel of 0898.
@ Nobody:
Why are we worrried about a stripe on Sandra’s shirt, when Ye Thuza’s is suddenly plain white!
Also nice to see future in-laws conversing – definitely a MIL to be on the riight side of!
I suspect Ye Thuza is just making sure she won’t get bothered by Cloud or Sandra for relationship troubles.
Maybe the shirt change is just a visual cue of Sandra’s slow decent into madness.
The simple act of gazing upon the brain wave manipulator device causes glitches in one’s perception of reality.
Her shirt didn’t change, you only think it has changed.

Including the classic line: “My name is Indigo Montoya. You bleached my blue denim shirt. Prepare to dye!”
Remember, kids. Brainwashing is okay, if it’s done for a comedic effect.
The brainwave manipulator came from the story arc about the new cereal formula.
Fun fact: the volcano’s name, Mount Colibri, is a reference to the war god’s name. His name was ‘Hummingbird of the South’ and ‘Colibri’ is the Russian word for hummingbird.
I think we’re about to return to the “Under a Killer Balloon” storyline, where Woo last wore his fedora.
“Stop forcing Isabella to make Hawaiian pizza!”
“No.”
Shouldn’t this be tagged Qoo?
Please please please! Can we not have yet ANOTHER non-canon random story jammed in again so quickly? I’m still tired after the Pizza and Memory Wipe of the succubus events 🙁
@ Onimaru:
It’s not really non-canon if its referenced in future story arcs.
cloud mother is both scary and amazing….
Do I even want to know what else she might have done with that thing?
And is anyone worried what would happen if Yuna got ahold of it?
David? Hassle? Maybe he’s from Hof 🙂
WOOOOW! XD
A better, safer, origin story than ‘ Something Yuna made I use around the house.’
C’mon, people! It’s obviously not dunctional!
If Ye Thuza had a real brain-washing ray then she would have returned to Burma and overthrown the dictatorship that she fought her whole life. The mere fact that she’s standing there showing it to Sandra means it isn’t functional.

The folllowing comic proved me right in my assessment of Ye Thuza as this makes her an abuser as well
Huh. Are we sure Yuna didn’t make that?
