It can’t be anything else except that game, yes. Good eye.

Thanks. =) Thought my comment got blocked because of an image link or excessive tag use.
Really, how can you even think this is a Catan board? It’s hexagon-shaped with prominent hexagon pieces and no “corner zones” like you see in the comic.
You fools, they’re playing poker in panel #3, with a fake board game on the table in case an adult shows up.
Board and card game night with friends is the BEST OF TIMES
@ nicktyrong:
They may have just started, so maybe they haven’t eaten jet.
@ Robert:
For all we know it could be strip poker. 😀 😀 😀
They’re playing the tabletop equivalent of Calvinball
The board game is “Dune”, based on the famous novel.

No, I don’t see any raccoons there.
@ Novil:
Garnered about 20 extra comments by waiting to put up the tag, awesome.
MyOtheHedgeFox gets a golden star for getting it right first, congrats!
@ CopperPenguin20:
Parcheesi.
I was close. From space Arrakis and Mars would be hard to tell apart, both being reddish in colour and having small ice caps.

Landon is not in the tags. There are seven Homer the saps there and only 6 are named in the tags.
Moe Lane wrote:
As you would know if you read the tags. Note 7 named people, eight if you include Woo. But there are 6 people in the tags, but that sure looks like Landon in the last panel.
@ The J.A.M.:
They’re at opposite ends of the table
@ Walter:
Novil added the tag later.
@ CopperPenguin20:
Maybe The Game of Life?

Took me a couple seconds to get that.
…my sides…cramp…

It’s probably cards against humanity.

To be fair, the reality is probably more fun anyway.
I like what Sandra considers to be a cool activity for when her dad’s not at home. I love board games!

Getting hit in the stomach will probably do that to you.

Actually, by the end of the game, there will be blood stains all over the house and dead bodies in the pool.

Harder to play footsie if you’re next to the person. Can’t reach as much, either.
@ Arcanist Lupus:
I was thinking Blood Rage as well, but it looks like they are using discs that can be stacked, not miniature Norse warriors.
Larisa is being calm and not causing any sort of havoc in a party with no parents around?
Im worried…
@ Peya Luna:
It happens sometimes, but mostly when HUGE groups are involved, my sister once invited a small army of teens to my house and there was broken glass everywhere and some asshat cracked my moms windshield by drunkenly trying to run up the front of her car onto the roof. Also if I remember correctly one of our blankets got stolen by some punk who screwed his significant other in my shed. The issue though was that most of said people were strangers and were in numbers that my sister and her friends couldn’t manage.
@ kazunori:
She sure does.
For an example of our idea of run of the house reread Cat in the Hat.
Larisa: “Landon, did you bring that Disney’s Mulan soundtrack CD to the part like I asked?”
Landon: “Sure, but I still don’t know why; it’s not exactly party music.”
Larisa: “Come on upstairs and cue up ‘Make a Man Out of You’! Now, do you think it would be more excitingly transgressive to lose your virginity in Sandra’s bed, or her father’s?”
Landon: “…Sandra’s.” (Both may hate me for the rest of my life, but she’s less likely to reduce that duration to 12 hours).
Larisa: “Sandra’s it is then!”
