Of course , I’m curious about how this will affect a possible future return of the bobcat, and also worried about Arcturus’s state.
Luckily, he seems to have avoided the most dangerous outcome…. for now.

I’m also shocked that Arcturus actually landed on the pitchfork nearly in between the two tines, only piercing his shoulder instead of the rest of his body.

I’m just glad Arcturus is small enough to fit mostly between the prongs of that pitchfork. I was so scared the poor pup would be totally skewered!
As I figured, Arcturus needs some professional help, but will be fine.

So it went through the shoulder! Looking at panel six on the previous page you can see it, too. Kudos for making it hard to see. Most ppl (including me) thought it had gone through the upper torso!

But being serious, if he eat and rest well, he most likely would be able to heal up from that wound, without a vetenarian help, but then he would be a cripple for sure. Raccoons, even the younger ones are astoundingly toughish!

I can’t help but notice how similar this bobcat looks to the mother Ruth killed in the Psycho Squirrel story. I wonder, is this one of the cubs she left behind?
@ Ominous: yes “hunt” it down. You really think that bobcat would get a swift death from a gun? Oh how you underestimate the wrath of a mother. If we actually get to see it, it would surely not be pg13, it’ll be rated R if not NC-17.
