I don’t get it. Was catching the ball a bad thing?
What I really want to see in Sandra and Woo is a random button
@ Bisqwit:
Yeah, you’re supposed to send the ball back to the other side, not catch it.
Y

In volleyball pretty much a big blunder…
I’m kinda sad. I though we were going to get to see zoey finally get a love interest
@ Bisqwit:
In volleyball, catching the ball is a foul, and the other side is awarded the point.
Sandra, this is not water polo. XD
I don’t get why people are complaining, this has been my favorite arc in a while

Don’t be impatient, young Palawan, the story arc ain’t over yet.
This whole contest is going to end in a tie. Haven’t you people figured that out yet?
Careful, Cloud, that’s your future wife you’re dissing.
Sandra could claim that she has just invented rugby volleyball…
…unfortunately, that didn’t work out too well for that pupil at Rugby School, who, by picking up the ball and running with it during a football game, invented rugby football, but was punished at the time. So Sandra has lost now, but, perhaps, many years later…
Nobel Committee Chairman: And the Nobel Peace Prize is presented to Sandra North, for the invention of beach rugby volleyball, which led to the end of war.
Sandra: 🙂
>:=)>
@ Novil:
‘Word Of God’ here.
What even is volleyball? Interesting that during this story arc I started watching HaruKana Receive
omg Sandra, you’re playing volleyball! Not Newcomb ball! Even if Newcomb ball is objectively superior in literally anyway for suffering middle school students who otherwise hate sport, you still can’t catch the ball!
@ Chillwinston89:
Are you enjoying the plot or the plot? 😉
Awww… I was expecting smooches with Michelle or something (or at least Michelle making a joke about it)… such an opportunity lost…
@ Novil:
I think you mean Padawan, don’t you?
@ Nakamoto:
No. Novil is creating his own sect of followers who shall be known as ‘Palawans’

Could be both
And this was either football or dodgeball.
To be fair, catching a volleyball one-handed is a bit impressive, even after a spike.
It appears Sandra forgot she’s playing volleyball, where you’re supposed to hit the ball to the other side, not catch it.
SAFE!
She got a home in one down!
Game, match: Blouses

Some people just can’t handle seeing 13 years old in swimsuits for a loong time. It’s triggerring their moral police mentality.
@ PS2kid:
Or maybe it’s just a matter of personal taste. I’ve been enjoying it, but I can understand how other people might not.
Notice that Sandra caught the ball with her left hand, although in panel 1 she looks like she’s about to catch it with her right.
(Credit for noticing this goes to user DaB in the German comments, not me)
All that mouth-to-mouth must have led to some brainfarts…
Wonder if it affects both genders the same way…
Matouš Moravec wrote:
I thought she caught it with both her hands, and then just raised it for everyone to see with her left hand.
Time to hit the shade for a bit, Sandra.
Wonder what Larisa will think of next.
I LOVE this arc.
@ Dremdin:
I thought that too
Tapped it up with the right and completed the mark with the left. Then remembered she wasn’t playing Aussie Rules!
The changing of hands between panels was quite impressive.
@ Persia:
Sandra probably doesn’t even know Aussie Rules exists. Hopefully she at least knows Australia exists…
“I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T! I mean S-M-A-R-T!”
“Voted Most Likely To Succeed”? At this point, success is relativistic, and that’s Sandra’s classmates opinion in their vote so…yup Sandra’s winning in life right now. LOL
Sandra is supposed to be a good, but not great, student. The obvious exception being math. She should not be on the top of her class.
(Ye-Thuza, Melody, and Jelena in bikini)
Nice catch. Sadly, wrong sport.

@ AnotherBear:
What about Richard, Ivan and David in speedos? 😉
It looks like Cloud is wearing a string around his waist, with a hanging piece of cloth covering his… huh… how can I say that?.
@ Fex:
its called a loincloth. 😛
@ Fex:
@ Nox:
Nah he’s just got unfortunately coloured bathers
@ Brijeka Vervix:
Given that he’s a Japanophile, I suspect that he’s wearing a fundoshi.
@ Fex:
Looking at the previous panel he wears shorts with dark in the middle and light on the sides.
@ Mechwarrior:
He’s wearing skin tight shorts in the previous strip
@ Fex:
Thanks, I didn’t remember the word.
That was supposed to be a reply to @ Nox, not to myself.
