Remind me again why he’s so attached?
So, character exit arc? Or journey arc which eventual resolves the problem, leaving things more or less back as they were?
I just love the fact the Sid really really wants Ruth to stay. I knew they were friends, but I was never sure how attached they were.
@ RamenChef:
I think he’s just bad at defending himself

Because she is the only major female squirrel character in this comic and in his life. I’m very sure his pickings for another female squirrel mate character seems to be 0%.
@ Night-X:
That, and she saves his life on a regular basis.
Remember this comic? This will be sad again. I hope not.
At least Ruth brought along a snack. And if she pointed that out, Sid might not be so clingy.
@ Alex Paws:
This reminded me to an other comic. 😉
Maybe he’s clingy and needy because he’d lose his best friend, and, quite possibly, protector.
He could offer to travel with her.
Guess it’s hard to be “put on a bus” with a squirrel hanging off your leg.
@ RamenChef:
In the comic no. 771 Wild(e) For Judy it is implied that they are either a couple or friends with benefits. Or, as it was stated in the comic:
Ruth: “Don’t get me wrong. We’re purely platonic friends. Our interspecies relationship is therefore one-hundred percent Disney-compatible!”
But a bit later…
Ruth: “Do you want to play “Nick and Judy visit the nudist colony“ again?”
Sid: “Ruth!”
Valentine’s Day is coming up so it would be great if zoey finally got a girlfriend.
On the plus side she’ll have an incredibly obvious trail to backtrack on if he stays like that.
On the minus side less food on the way as the smart predators (A.k.a. the ones still alive) will Run at the smell of gunpowder and the clink of her arsenal.
Don’t you just hate clingy boyfriends?
At least Ruth knows The Way Back Home; on another world, it’s taken 192 pages and they STILL haven’t found it.
@ It’s_A_Trap:
It’s a bit complicated when you have an Elven Archmage doing everything he can think of (apart from killing the main cast) to frustrate your objective – including recruiting a draconic demon to do a spot of lumberjacking…
So, does this mean Sid is going with her?
“Ok, you can come. Fine. But you’re gonna have to find your own food. And if you slow me down I’m leaving you behind.”
And I STILL wonder where she gets ammo.
@ Xezlec:
Eh, she probably goes out and steals it from humans.
@ RamenChef:
She kills all the pretators. Sid, being a squirell, appreciates this.
I find it amusing that by removing one predator, the ecology becomes more Ruth-less.
