The Zodiac 340 has been solved!

The Zodiac 340, the second-most famous unsolved encrypted message after the Voynich Manuscript, has been deciphered by code breakers David Oranchak (USA), Sam Blake (Australia) and Jarl Van Eycke (Belgium)!
Huh. Neat.
The message reads more like b8.
Fun Fact: The Voynich Manuscript has been at least partly decoded. It appears to have been written in a home-brewed version of ancient Dutch, by someone who knew about writing but didn’t know how to write. The “language” is phonetic and the alphabet was invented in order to follow the phonetic pronounciation of ancient Dutch.
The decoding was done by a Dutch father and son team.

That is incorrect. There is no known decipherment of the Voynich Manuscript that has been accepted as even going into the right direction by leading cryptologists and Voynich experts.
@ Novil:
Well, it was on TV. But perhaps it was a hoax, or perhaps there’s some long process required to authenticate the translation.

Regarding historical ciphers, there are only a couple of experts you have to follow. Nick Pelling, Klaus Schmeh, Craig Bauer. If one of them says that a decipherment is the real deal, then it probably IS the real deal. If not, it’s just more fake news.
