- Logan Hunter: ?!!
- Referee: {Gasp!}
- Yuna: Oops, that’s not where the queen was supposed to go.
- Yuna: Mom, can you go home and press the yellow button on the metal sphere next to Wally’s box?
- Ye Thuza: The time machine stays off!

talk about deciding to cheat…
not a very subtle way, either.

Well, if Yuna’s cheat was go back in time, the “subtle” would be irrelevant…
Shouldn’t Ye Thuza also be tagged in this?
Hmm, she did make a mistake, her comment shows it wasn’t an intentional ‘mistake’ to mess with him.
Spectators gasping when a bad move is played is extremely annoying to the player who made the move (and tips off the other player that something is up, in case they didn’t already know.) If you can’t control your reaction, please don’t watch where the players can see/hear you.
She knows very well what she did … Her comment and expression make that perfectly clear. She knows she can beat him, she doesn’t want to though.
No Wibbly-wobbly mulligans for you
For anyone curious:
Here’s the board state during the last comic.
Then, after
Re6 Bxe6 dxe6 g5 Ra8
, this is the board state at the start of today’s comic, before Yuna wentQd4
.Yuna’s Switch has disappeared. Logan has convinced the observer to let her keep playing, so it’s not a matter of confiscation. The question is: did she put it away because she’s giving the board her full attention, or did she just get frustrated with something in Galar? The idiotic AI partners for Max Raid Battles have made me put the game away to calm down more than once.

like even the player sometine fails to contain himself.
Rembemer Carlsen just swearing in Norweigean when he made a bad move… (and he essentialy won the game on time by logic that checkmate is technically possible…)
Carlsen vs Firouja – its technically possible to reach chekcmating possition when said oponent plays the very worst moves – thus its still a win on time…
he had only dark square bishop while Firouja had 4 pawns and light square one.
appeal for the latter obviously failed
appeal for the forme – well – frustration exists.

Or, that’s what she wants Logan to think…

So she is human, she does some mistakes!
She observed it didn’t she, classic mistake bet she didn’t waste time playing pokemon in her observation timeline.
Yuna moves on Thursday, Slashdot posts about chess on Friday… Seems suspicious.

It could be worse, she could take the Satoko rout of snapping her fingers to save scum the match, and traumatizing everyone watching.
@ Dremdin:
Yeah, well.. In this case it’s the worst move imaginable and is basically the only bad move that she could have done. And even a kid would’ve seen that it is one, so.. the must be some serious explanation there.
Being a gentleman, he must offer a draw there.
I love how YeThuza ‘Mom’s’ it to the max!
@ AnotherBear:
Ye Thuza says her line in the most unquestionable mother’s voice. No appeal and no questioning.
Most of us remember.
The two programs that played the original game play at way above world campionship level. So both
Yuna and Logan are supremely gifted.

That’s what parenting is about, isn’t it? Setting boundaries.
Don’t fall for it, Logan… it’s a trap!
