I think one should be careful when giving internet users what they want. You might get something very different indeed from what you started with. Experimenting is good, but if necessary, it might be better to create an alternate storyline. Possibly on a different website. Ahem.
That’s maybe even better than a strip. It might be a good idea to regularly break up the strips by simple artwork.
Suggestions:
(1) Zoey posing arrogantly
(2) Woo eating a sandwich with worms
(3) Cloud training with a wooden sword

Man stay safe the other respiratory virus are making rounds out of season because if people don’t have covid after a test they assume their fine and infest others with crap nearly as bad RSV Isn’t just for children and is a killer.

What did he catch? Something harmless, I hope. It’s a beautiful picture. Very naturey. Lots of shading tones. An outing with racoon kits that looks gorgeous and adorable.

If Novril caught the same intestinal upset I had in Italy, he has my sympathy. I recommend lots of sleep and some hot grapefruit juice.

Actually, I prefer this page to a continuation of the current story arc, I don’t mind the interruption at all. I admit that I also clicked on “let Larisa join too” in the previous quiz (because it was a funny reply), but honestly, I was not expecting you to make an actual strip about the three girls and Cloud. I fell in love with your comic when it was stories about smart, curious racoons and adventurous, creative girls, and somehow it has all drifted off rather far from there… What has happened to Sid and Shadow lately? Can we go back to detective stories and discoveries with strong female protagonists, and less succubus-fanfiction-drama?
The scene today strongly resembles one of my favourite Calvin and Hobbes paintings, and I absolutely adore it. You have such a wonderful concise and compelling drawing style, it’s lovely!!

I just realized…
Sandra prayed “Please let there be no gods”, and now there are no human gods in this comic.
Lily’s prayer of at least 20 children for Sandra couldn’t be answered because the human god wouldn’t listen to Seeoahtlahmakaskay – but now there’s no human god in S&W, and Seeoahtlahmakaskay has taken over humans… so now she could totally answer that prayer.
Y’know, that also provides another explanation for why Sandra’s been getting more lustful…

While you are down, though, please consider this:
I can’t imagine anyone begrudges you the reasons for your needing to skip updates. What you do takes time and effort and I, for one, greatly appreciate it. But that makes it all the more frustrating when I don’t know what is going on with you.
If you could manage to set an internal deadline for yourself, maybe some time the night before an update and have a message prepared for if you don’t make the deadline (some content management systems will even let you pre-schedule such a message and you can just replace it with the update when you have one on-time), that would save those like me who can’t help checking over and over throughout the day in hopes of seeing the next page in your wonderful comic.
While it might seem like people would prefer that you work down to the wire and post on an update day if at all possible, you may want to make a poll out of whether getting content a little sooner but unevenly is preferred to having more certainty and consistency. After all, it’s not likely to be long before something slows you down and you can use that queued comic to take the pressure off yourself.
Of course, this doesn’t work for everyone and might not work for you. Some artists need the pressure of telling themselves they have to deliver without a backup plan to get things done. Some can’t sit on even one or two unpublished works without constantly wanting to tweak them. I’m sure there are numerous other examples.
Just something to consider whether it would take some of the anxiety off of you and/or your audience (it would for me, but I’m obviously a very small part of that equation). If you did more frequently communicate when you were running behind on an update, you could also consider throwing in filler that might be easier for you to create a stockpile of. For instance…
– an image like you did in this post (and it’s a wonderful one, too!)
– fan art/guest comics
– answering a fan question (either in writing or comic form)
– one of your statistical observations (the kind you normally only put in posts without attached comics
I hope this suggestion comes across with the spirit of respect and gentleness in which it was intended and, again, I hope you are doing well in your recovery.

Is this unknown disease Covid, which has been flaring up again, or something even more insidious?

Has Novil recovered from his illness yet? We’re all hoping it’s something mild, of course, but having no news since this filler artwork was posted makes us worried.
It’s been about 3 weeks since we last had an update to Sandra and Zoey’s “Biology sudy”. Should we expect a new comic tomorrow?
Dooon’t panic, guys, sometimes it can take a while to recover from a normal cold, too.
I hope that the cold/illness is subsiding or at least weakened its grip on Novil.

Although it’s possible that there’s other things that take priority over updating S&W, if Novil is still too sick to event tell how he’s doing, this might be bad. Even common cold would probably start to ease up enough by now. So best wishes to Novil and hopefully it’s not as serious at it seems.
And hopefully Zarylo is feeling well too.
